Had this mounted on a 308 for a time, it did great. I was throughly impressed with this scope. I landed on this scope when i ran out of funds for that particular build and needed something on somewhat of a budget. Let me tell you, it exceeded expectations. Very clear glass for the money. I paired this with a vortex cantilever scope mount. Rock solid set up. Would highly recommend.

One of the best optics I have used on my set ups. I've purchased this item twice one for myself and a present for a friend for their first hunt. Great for hunting and just your regular target practice. Holds beautifully when ranging animals. Both my friend and I highly recommend this optic even if it's for a range or even for a hunt. Vortex makes a great optic and I would choose this over any optic especially for the price point.

Really clear glass at 4x and 12x with generous eye relief. FOV could be a hair better for a 40mm objective lens, but it's not a $2000 optic. Good turret tracking, reticle at 10x is easy MOA math and accurate. I'd say for beginner/intermediate shooters getting into some range, this is perfect. I'm not sure of many advanced shooters not shooting in mils, but you never know. Will likely buy another one of these for a bolt gun. Currently lives on a 20" M16, and it's perfect. Highly recommend.

This is an incomplete review, as I have not done any shooting with my new scope. However, right out of the box the build quality is unbelievable. This thing is built like a bank vault. The turrets all have a scalloped texture that is very tactile and would lend itself well to adjusting with gloves on. The locking feature on the scope is perfect and easy to feel. Additionally, the turrets all have very positive adjustments that allow you to know how much youre putting into a given adjustment. The scope zooms smoothly and the reticle is perfect for my uses. The illumination feature is also awesome. Very subtle if you want it to be, but bright enough to serve in very bright conditions on its lowest zoom. As far as the clarity goes, this scope is on par with any night force or khales Ive looked through. The fact this scope is at the price point it's at makes it a tremendous value. This definitely wont be my last Steiner scope. I will write another, more complete review when I have about 1000 rounds through it.

Not much needs to be said about Vortex optics. They put out rock solid equipment and optics for every level of shooter. The Diamondback tactical it the perfect scope for the hunting I do. I use it mainly for whitetail and coyote hunting. Wooded terrain as well as field hunting. The external turrets make it fast to zero and easy to dial in the longe range shots. Great scope for a great price!

First, I love vortex scopes. This one however seems like im looking down a narrow hallway. I think my kids 32mm scope has a wider range of view than this 44mm. Bought it for longer range shooting. I think i will be buying a different one and using this on a smaller gun. Beginner/intrmediate

Perfect condition no scratches and it works great would definitely recommend this to someone who is not trying to spend a ton of money on a scope. I have it on my rifle already and it works great I can see clear and far and it was very easy to sight it in. I would say this scope would be good for a person that is looking some something that will last you a while and this scope will.

For the price not a bad scope at all, the glass isn't quite as good as Burris and the turrets arnt sloppy but they don't feel as good as turrets on my Burris scopes at a similar price,

I used to be Leopold fan but after my first Vortex I've not bought another Leopold. Don't take me the wrong way, I would buy Leopold if the price was what Vortex is. I mounted it on a Ruger 308 SFAR and it's great. Holds zero with no worries. It's as clear as my Leopolds for less the price and you get the VIP warranty!!

I've only been able to mount the scope and fire about twenty rounds using it, but overall I'm very happy with it. I initially had a different set of rings planned for it but the adjustment for magnification wouldn't allow me to mount the scope. Bought new rings and all is well. Glass is clear, turrets are tactile, and it's easy to adjust and zero. Next step is some distance beyond 100 yards.

I purchased this a couple months ago to mount on my Ruger American 30-06, which is my backup rifle. A few days ago I ended up moving it over to my main rifle, a Winchester Model 70 30-06 that I've done a lot of upgrades to. I have to say that it has enhanced the look of the rifle, and I have no questions as to whether or not it will perform as well as the Nikon I previously had on it. Can't think of a better scope for the $$ in a 1" main tube offering.

I bought this about a month ago from bass pro for my Remington 700. I was really excited about it. I went to the range. Set a target at 100 yards nothing crazy. I have a buddy spot me with a spotting scope help me get sighted in. Every time I made an adjustment it got worse. After rechecking mounting I bought a laser bore sighter to stop using up ammo. Turns out, when I turn the dial in the direction that says up, the reticle actually goes down. This explains allot. I have a vortex spitfire for my A/R. I have bought Vortex products before always liked them. Maybe I got a bad one? Not sure. Maybe its time to get a Nikon. This has compromised my trust in vortex.
