I bought this for my Howa 1500 6. 5 Creedmoor. The quality and features for the price is unmatched. As far as scopes go, it's the best decision I have ever made. I highly recommend it to someone who wants a lower prices scope that doesn't sacrifice features and quality.

Overall its a great scope. I use mine strictly for whitetail hunting within 300 yards. So far has held correct zero. The one thing I will COMPLAIN about is, as soon as you go past 10x for long range, the view gets DARK and a little BLURRY if your eye relief is not EXACTLY correct, you also have to be PERFECTLY centered in it. If you get it everything EXACTLY perfect its great. So you have to be in a very comfortable and controllable hunting position, it would be a challenge if shooting offhand with some wind. . . 10x and down you have some wiggle room, you do not have to be perfectly centered and eye relief can vary by an inch or so without effecting the clarity.

So far scope has been awesome to use. Does some 400 yard shooting with it on my 300 win mag, currently getting it rained on for opening day or gun season for dear hunting. I will say the turret hash marks could line up better and the turret clicks could be a little more crisp but I do understand that its not a top of the line scope, otherwise I would buy it again for hunting with. The sun shade it comes with is awesome. Cuts down the glare

I bought this scope in 2020 for my Diana 350 Magnum air rifle, which has a strong recoil. It was on that rifle for almost 800 rounds without issue. I then put it on my PCP and it lasted almost four years without issue. Unfortunately, during a competition, my rifle fell off the shooting bench and hit the sight. The sight continued to work, but the point of impact had shifted internally. So, I contacted Vortex, and they sent me a new scope completely free of charge. I live in Ecuador, Latin America, and surprisingly, their warranty worked even outside the United States. I am very happy with my new Vortex Diamondback Tactical 5-24x50 FFP scope. I will always recommend this brand.

Very solid with lots of adjustment and the ffp is perfect for me. I have two 6x24 diamondbacks and just ordered a third. I put them on the rifles I shoot the most, my Kimber 22rf and Fx Impact M3. Turrets are easily set to zero, glass is good and the full height and width moa crosshairs fit my needs perfectly.

I put this scope on my Howa 1500 in 6. 5 Creedmoor. For a budget scope, this is easily the best one that I have ever owned. I love the range finding feature. Even though I have never had to use the VIP warranty, it looks like the best warranty for any brand of scope.

This scope is very clear and easy to zero and reset. The little details really set it apart, like the tiny gap in the middle of the crosshair, so at great distance you're not covering your target. Fantastic scope, and even better customer service.

May be slight overkill but for my 22lr bench setup I love this optic! Clear glass and great features for the budget!

This is a hardcore beast at this price point! My wife uses this on her 300 blackout. We've ran this scope the distance! Very clear glass with ffp adjustments, has been a great tool for her n the kids! Ran hard with no issues! Because?. It's a VORTEX!

I've had this scope on my . 308 for years. It's been great. Never lost zero. Super clear. Recently, the magnification stopped working properly, which may have been caused by a drop. Vortex couldn't repair it so they replaced it with a brand new one. This is probably more of a testament to Vortex as a company than to this individual scope itself. But when a company stands behind its product they way Vortex does, I find it extremely hard to take my business elsewhere. First class customer service and products.

Scope is crystal clear and holds its zero. Bad wind moved in during a hunt. Tree limb fell, knocked rifle out of its rest and rifle fell over 20 feet to the ground. Scope held its zero perfectly. Very happy with this purchase.

The scope is great I like the reticle. The scope went on a Winchester model 70 chambered in a 300 win mag. The main problem I have with it is it's hard to get and keep the full view threw the scope

One sits on my custom competition AR in 6. 8 SPC / 22 inch heavy barrel running Berger 130 Classic Hunter bullets (. 498 G1). The other sits on my Ruger American Predator 350 Legend / factory Hornady 165 gr and has taken deer in Michigan at 267 yards.

Bought this scope three years ago and paired it with my Savage 110 in .270. Great combo for whitetail. Tackdriver rifle with clear, spot on scope.

Wanted a newer FFP scope to mount on my 308 Win 70 HB Varmit in a H&S Precision stock. The rifle and scope are made for each other. I like the MOA reticle. Not too busy and good for range estimation. I now keep my shooting at 1-300 yards. Still tape a poker chip to see if I can still hit them. Age and health keep me at the shorter distances. If you are on a budget, this scope is worth looking at. Good shooting and stay safe. Still enjoy it though

This is the best warranty I have ever seen, I damaged one and they replaced it for me even though it was my fault. I over torqued it and they still replaced it. I will be a loyal customer now. I've replaced my Leopold and I will never go back. They're (Leopold) customer service blow's and I will never deal with that hassle again. If you want a great product and great service, you're in the right place.

This thing is great except for the super bad eye relief. You have to be in the exactly centered with the optic and dead on with they eye relief or you'll just see black. There is absolutely no wiggle room to move your head around.

This scope is reliable, sturdy, and easy to use! I am new to the world of guns and hunting. I bought a Savage Arms 6.5 Creedmoor and was struggling to hit my targets. I bought this scope and despite having limited knowledge I was able to dial it in myself and I can now easily hit targets up to 300 yards! I am told that I should be able to hit targets even farther out, but I have not yet had the opportunity. The fact that this scope comes with a lifetime warranty allows me to confidently carry and use my gun out in the woods because I know that if I were to accidentally damage it, I can send it in and receive a new one. That being said, these scopes are very sturdy! I confirmed this when I was unloading the trunk of my car after a camping trip, and I left my gun in its case sitting behind the car. My fiancé, having thought I had finished unloading it all, backed the car up right over my gun. The gun case was destroyed, my gun stock had begun to crack, but the scope both looked and has continued to work perfectly despite having run directly over it. I highly recommend this tactical scope!

Bought this scope for a 7 PRC and had it professionally mounted and it instantly was frustrating. Would get a couple awesome 2 shot groupings and then a 3rd would be five inches off. Then would have a good 3 shot group and then it would move 4 inches and have another good group. All shooting was off a bipod, no lead sled. I popped it on a 350 Legend that I know is very consistent and had the same problem. Also slapped a buddy's Leupold on the 7 PRC and it shot lights out. Long story short sent it back and got a new scope 6 days later. I got it on paper and first 3 shot group at 200 yards was right at an inch, so half moa. This is also a testament to CVA Cascade XT and 7 PRC, but this scope is right at home with the setup. This was the 5th Vortex I've owned and the first problem and Vortex made it right ASAP so I remain a satisfied customer.

I bought one of these at Cherri's Outdoor World in Ottawa Ohio to use on my Ruger Predator .223. After using it for a month I bought the second one for my 6.5 Creedmoor. I have a cheat sheet on the gun and after ranging the target, check the cheat sheet, and use the MOA's required on the BDC. Very fast for moving coyotes. Clear glass, bold reticle, and excellent return to zero. I recently purchased a 6x24x44 Diamondback Tactical for my .204 Ruger Predator. Was looking for more precise aiming, shooting a lighter grained bullet, for coyotes.

This is a great FFP scope. I mounted it on a Savage Precision 6.5 Creedmoor. Does the job nicely holds zero and adjustments seem to be true.

Vortex Diamondback 6-24X50 FFP (MOA) fits the unique requirements for an airgun scope. I have this scope mounted on an Air Arms TX200 and a RWS 54 air rifle. I use theses two rifles for Field Target matches and target practices in my backyard. The Diamondback is a very good scope for my needs. I wanted to buy a more expensive model, but finding a scope that can focus down to 10 yards with this power range and FFP is hard to find. The first focal plane feature allows me to use the scope's variable power settings at different power without affecting the sight in zero and range estimation. The parallax adjustment at 24x is precise enough to match my tape measurer within my tolerance for equipment and user's error. This gives me the confidence to use the appropriate range zero to engage my targets accurately. The reticle is very usable for holding over and under to hit at different distances. It is detailed enough without excessive features to make it cluttered. I live and shoot in the Pacific Northwest and light conditions are typically overcasts and dark. Even with the non-illuminated reticle at 16x, I was able to clearly see my targets and the reticle. At this setting, I have an accurate aiming point even out at the maximum 55yard distance where I shoot FT matches. There is a compromise at the lowest power of 6x. The reticle at 6x is very thin, making precision aiming on small targets difficult. The optic quality is not as good as the higher tiered Vortex line like the Viper and Razor. However, for the intended use of this scope, it is more than good enough. I can only tell the difference when I have those scopes side by side under very controlled conditions. Last but not least is the fact these two scopes have survived two season of shooting thousands of rounds. After these many iterations of harsh reverse recoil from piston power airguns, they are still fully functional. Although not advertised as airgun scopes, they certainly are capable for that task. Good Job Vortex? keep supporting us shooters with great tools.

Despite 50 years of operating and owning firearms, 11 in the military, just last year was my first time using a scope. I bought the 4-16x44 FFP EBR-2C. Had an experienced pal help install and level. A couple range trips later and I'm in love with this new long range ability and how the experience feels. What I've learned so far is there is a LOT to learn if you want to become a master, but right now I'm happy being a novice with a scope because I'm still a leap forward in ability from where I was without a scope. Everything about Vortex has been awesome, too. I didn't even realize until now my rangefinder that I like a lot is also a Vortex lol.

Got my Diamondback a few years ago and put it on a Ruger American 10/22, ya over scoped. 3 months ago I went to a 300 yard 22lr shoot. Even with a plinker I scored in the top of the bottom 1/3. Since then I mounted the scope on a CZ 457 MTR. Reports on how I score coming soon.

I haven't hunted with this optic yet. I bought it from fleet farm for my hunting/target .270 win. The image quality is the best that I've used but it is sensitive to parallax and eye relief. When properly aligned and set, the entire field of vision is crisp and clear, but in a hunting situation, I feel you'll have issues with peripheral view. My biggest complaint is that setting the parallax with the side turret is often off by just a little bit, at 500yds, I'm often on the infinite mark. I find it's hard to make the eye relief show the crosshair and target both crisp and clear. Otherwise great optic with a great reticle. FFP makes all the difference when you're whacking steel from 100-1000 yds, especially for PRS matches.

I picked up my first long rifle last year (Savage Hunter 110 in .308) and I was told to look into Vortex for scope. So picked the DiamonBack 4-16x44, and I was love everything about it. Still working on stretching the legs on my 110 to see what it can do, but I'm loving everything about this scope. Vortex will forever be my favorite place to go and get all my optics for life. For me this the perfect product with the best warranty hands down. I know if I ever need to use it, I will be taken care of.

I bought this optic because of what I had heard about the brand. Had the optic dial in 7 shots. Didn't take long to fall in love with this optic. Highly recommend this one. I plan on buying atleast one more like it

I bout this scope with my Savage 6.5 Creedoor, and I've shot two deer, a badger, and eight coyotes. This scope has me thinking, did Vortex combine binocular settings, with a sope? Either way this scope is awesome.

20+mile crosswinds on a tier 1 rifle. Lowlight or high noon uncloudy conditions. You don't need more scope. If you need more scope, it's not the scope.

first inexpensive FFP

I feel like the price is undervalued for such a great scope! The glass is very good and clear, no blur around the edges and crisp reticle. reticle is thin enough that at full power (x24) it doesn't obscure targets, but thick enough at x6 power it is still clear and distinguishable. turrets are positive and accurate enough to dial in for a fast and precise adjustment. The side mounted parallax adjustment is standard and has a good spectrum for any range. Now that it includes a sunshade it is ...

Great Budget Optic for Precision Shooting
By RobertK79
I went with the Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44 for my Ruger Precision (.22lr). I knew I didn't want a high dollar optic for shooting .22lr. The DBT fit right into what I wanted to spend and I got more than what I paid. The glass is excellent in it price point. Add the FFP EBR-2C reticle and whether I'm 50yards or 450yds (still trying to get a group) the holdovers are consistent!
The first focal plane reticle, a feature ordinarily reserved for 4-figure-priced optics, allows shooters to use the information-packed EBR-2C reticles for ranging, holdovers or windage corrections on any magnification. Housed inside its durable, one-piece aluminum tube is a 4x optical system delivering excellent edge-to-edge clarity and sharp resolution.
Exposed elevation and windage turrets are low profile enough to stay out of the way in packing situations, but offer the quickness, ease and precision of dialing accurate shots at distance. A side adjustable parallax gives shooters peace of mind by removing parallax error from the equation from 20 yards to infinity.
