Likely the toughest scope that Vortex makes. When I am having LE training, this is the scope I always use. They can take a lot of abuse and still work. And work equally well on large caliber dangerous game rifles, 458 Lott, 460 Wby, etc. I have one on my personal 308 hunting rifle. On low power with the reticle illuminated, works just like a red dot. And 10x is perfect for big game inside 400 yards. Which is where most should be shooting !

I absolutely love this scope. Incredibly wide field of view at base magnification, and at maximum magnification its plenty capable to reach out to 600 yards at sub MOA. I hunt coyotes and this is a game changer.

After seeking out a relatively low magnification FFP optic the 2-10 seemed the ideal choice. I also use the Viper 3-15 and 1-6, both being quite good quality all round. Upon receiving the Viper 2-10 initial inspection showed respectable glass quality and had low distortion toward the edge of the glass. However the illumination was extremely dull and only visible in low light, the magnification ring was extremely stiff. -I returned the optic and some months later I had a replacement. The replacement scope was sound as far as illumination, turrets were good the magnification was even a little bit smoother. After endless adjustment with scope position and diopter adjustment there was no point beyond 4x magnification where the image became clear to the edge of the glass. Compared to the other Viper scopes this was junk. After expressing my concerns to Vortex they offered some help in trouble shooting. After expressing that the trouble shooting had already been applied the customer service rep continued to spout the same advice. Professional gas lighting. Vortex Rep. made no attempt or offer to have the scope looked at. It appears that there is an unspoken assumption that Vortex Scopes couldn't possibly be faulty. Very Disappointed.

Love the 2-10 and this being a first focal plane scope. I have this on my AR15 and don?t understand why it?s not more popular. You don?t have a 1x setting but I?m okay with that based on how I use it. Glass is clear and love the illuminated reticle.

This is a very well built optic. I only have one con. That being there?s no ?throw lever?. Not terribly important so it doesn?t bother me.

I have had my scope for a couple years and transferred it from my 300BO to my RPR .308. I got a chance to open it up to 600 yards and after only two shots was ringing steel shot after shot. 23 shots in a row! It was too easy! With a holdover of two hash marks(4 MOA) and no adjustment for wind. The scope did develop a problem with a loose illumination knob, I called Vortex, and before I hung up, I already had a prepaid return label. I sent it in on an Saturday and got it back exactly 9 days later, and they replaced the scope with a brand new one! Optical clarity is great, and you can't beat the features of a top end scope at a mid range price. I will be loyal to Vortex for LIFE!

Excellent top quality scope but I prefer second focal plane for ARs to achieve a quick target acquisition and strong low light reticle. I know there is the 1-6 to choose from but I think this scope would dominate the AR world in second focal plane. 2-12 is perfect for AR shooters who would like just a bit more magnification over the 1-6. Build the SFP now, dominate the AR market and ship me two for the great idea! Haha - Vortex All Day!

I’m a proud owner of the 2-10x32 PST Gen2. This optic is so versatile. I have it on my Daniel Defense V7 pro and couldn’t imagine life without it. Unbelievable clarity. Close range and long range are no problem for this optic. Low light or the middle of the day it always impresses me.

Had this scope on my DDM4V3 for a while now. Never had a single problem with it tracking or anything else. Very clear and bright glass. At 2.5x the reticle turn into a small plus sign that you can illuminate red. Works great for CQB. At 10x you can engage just about any range needed and the reticle does everything you need it to and doesn't over do it. The best thing about it is how light it is. As light or lighter than most 1-6 power scopes. Love it.

I bought this a couple years back for my MK12 Mod1, awesome scope for medium to ling range! Would definitely recommend.

Strong enough even a Marine can’t break it! Had my rifle just yesterday fall from and ice chest in the bed of my truck all the way to the hardpack ground, 8’ drop that cracked the lower receiver of the weapon, this optic laughed it off, swapped lowers to zero and check the glass and hit a 1” steel rod at 100 yards 3 times in a row. it’s hard to complement a single feature because it would imply other features aren’t as great.

Put this on my MK12 clone. Clear glass. Using the MIL reticle. Couldn’t be happier. Got rid of my NF for this scope.

I have this mounted on a Rock River 18" .223 SPR. This optic's clarity is much better than other other optics out there which are twice the price. The knob adjustments are crisp and deliberate. They are easy to use and make adjustments for longer range engagements. For this reason, I am a big fan of the turret knobs for ease of adjustment. The illuminated reticle makes this optic ideal for coyote hunting during low visibility here in Iowa. Great optic on one of "my Go To" rifles.

I buyed this optic and I love it....but I can't understand why Vortex couldn't includes the defender flip caps. When you spend a lot of money in that quality product, Vortex MUST include the caps and the optic base.

I put this on my 6.5 creedmoor and I'm very happy with it. I was shooting out to 700 yards with ease. At its price point I think it's a great buy. Quality is top notch and clarity at low light was better then some of the other scopes that cost more.

Had a Gen 1 and loved it, so when the Gen 2 dropped I had to have it. The turrets are fantastic, a great improvement over the Gen 1 viper pst. First it started out on a AR platform, then recently got moved to a ruger American for hunting. I expect that it will ride several more rifles, not getting rid of it. Now if only I could get my hands on a Gen 2 razor...

I have this scope set up on a Ruger 762 AR10 and it’s the perfect fit. I love the clarity, the Zero Stop system, and can’t forget the warranty on all products. I have 7 Vortex products total and they are always my go to optics. Love them.

I really dig this scope. I purchased this soon after its release. First and foremost the glass is clean, crystal clear and the top reason you buy this scope. The mrad reticle is precise and doesn't feel busy. The reticle illumination works exceptionally well and really like the off setting between each of setting . The build quality is solid and the finish was spotless. The elevation and windage turret are fine-tunable, robust, positive and the adjustment firmness is just about right. However this scope is on the heavier side. The eye relief is a lil closer than I'd like and the power ring rotation is tight although it has loosened with use. the elevation and windage turret screws should be checked regularly as they loosen with use.

I own 2 viper PST Scopes and this gen 2 is a whole other class! The glass is clearer, which is hard to believe and the turrets on this gen 2 is the main reason to purchase over the 1st generation. Installed this on my MCX and never looked back! Best scope on the market for the money!

This scope is on a hard use gun, it isn't babied, has held zero and worked flawlessly. Everything I expected. Good positive turrets that are light years ahead of the turrets on my very early gen 1 pst 6-24. Good illumination, zero stop is easy. Only thing that I don't like, the hash marks on the windage turret. The zero mark is a hair off center and won't line up with the single hash below. The zero line wants to sit either at the top or bottom of the indication mark on the scope. You have to remember where it sits, high or low when dialing back or checking your zero. I think just having a colored line for the zero and one on the turret itself would eliminate this problem. That and it should ship with scope cap covers not the chinsy bikini covers. Other than those two minor details, I really like this scope.

Mine is on a working rifle so it must be rugged, have zero stop turrets, return to zero everytime and have a useful reticle. This scope does all those things. For the price, this scope would be difficult to beat.
