WOW!

I bought this scope for a Remington 700 in 308, and the clarity of this scope is unreal. A tad heavy, but completely worth it when you feel and look through this optic. I'd put one on every rifle if money was no option.

For the cost its hard to beat

Glass is better than I expected! Turrets feel great, seems to be robust. Wish it came with better lens covers. My suggestion would be to have a covered windage turret.

excellent choice

had this model soon after it was released for 308 prs rifle went through 1400 rds no problem very well built glass is good for this level and cost of optic, good reticle and illum, i upgraded to razor and now the viper is on ruger american predator in 243 for coyote hunting very confident in shots out to 600 with 87gr vmax. you can notice difference between this and razor on cloudy/rainy days as this doesnt make certain colour targets pop out like the razor

Impact....tested

I bought my Viper last year and it has by far been my favorite scope I've ever used. Scopes can be a pricey investment, but I am so happy I made this one. I used to hunt with a lesser quality scope and the difference is night and day. The build quality of this scope and the clarity of the glass in low light scenarios makes this scope punch way above its weight class. Believe me when I say "build quality", I mean it. I may have done some unintentional drop testing of this scope, from about... 25ft, or however high me sitting in my tree stand is. *cough* Anyway, this scope withstood a beating and is still fully functional and barely has any marks... my rifle at the time, not so much. So lets just say I feel a sense of confidence using this scope, knowing it will withstand my clumsiness and still hold zero. My rifle... not so much. Now if you excuse me I have to go look at replacement stocks...

I hate this thing!

I do not like this optic! It does not perform very well, It tracks horribly. It even fogs up easily. I have sent it back once, Vortex sent me a new one and it has the same problems! What is going on with quality control. I have removed this optic from the rifle it was on, now The rifle is sporting a $500 leupold that out performs the vortex in every aspect. The quality of the leupold far surpasses the Vortex. And the tracking is true. I would like a refund and get away from vortex. But I doubt that will happen.

Fogs up

Very interesting...I have the 3-15x44 FFP PST Ten 2. I put this on a Tikka 300WM for an elk hunt in December, in northern Arizona. Opening day I find a herd of elk and my scope is completely fogged up. The interesting part is that others are reporting the same. For the price of admission, this scope should not fog up to the point that it is not useable. I was always a Vortex "fanboy" until this experience. Definitely going with Leupold from here on out. Tracking and zero are not precise either on the 300wm. This is using Seekings percision rings. Just not happy with Vortex lately.

Black Dots

I perchest this Scope A month ago for my Browning X bolt 30-06. I Put 40 rounds through the rifle with the Scope on it, the Scope then Started to Develop black spots inside the scope in different spots on the reticle. At times and against certain targets the sub tensions are difficult to see. So i just sent it back to Vortex for servicing. In all my experience with the scope has been disappointing. Customer Service was really helpful and pleasant to talk to. Not happy About wasting more money on getting the Scope remounted and spending more money on ammo to sight in the scope all over again, or waiting for my scope to be returned.

I love it but hate the tight zoom ring.

I’ve had good luck with mine aside from the zoom ring being too tight. Had to buy a throw lever to turn it easily.

Very nice optic overall

Purchased this optic a few weeks ago to top off my 18.5 inch .308 build. I currently have about 200 total rounds through the system and I was able to take it out to 960 yards this past weekend with very good results. Optic is working as well as I had hoped. The glass is nice and clear, even at extended ranges. The adjustments are true and the zero stop works as intended. The magnification range of the 3-15x44 matches the intended range of the rifle perfectly. I only have one minor complaint and that is the scope cover that is included. It seems it would be more at home on a $100 optic than a $1000 optic. I get that Vortex would like me to purchase their scope caps separately but I feel that a high end scope should include something nicer. All and all I'm very happy with the purchase.

AMAZING RETICLE

I got a really good deal on this scope and have since put it on a 22lr to compete in NRL22. I really enjoy the capabilities of the scope and the features it offers. It also has an amazing reticle if I haven't said that yet!

PST GEN 1

I bought the PST gen 1 last year and it is hands down my favorite scope I own. Turrets track very well and adjustments have been very precise, even shot a coyote at 800 yards with my 223 mounted with this scope. I have shot the gen 2 but do not own one. I would highly recommend either.

Great Value! Awesome Clarity for the price.

I purchased my PST Gen II several months ago for my Daniel Defense .308. I was attracted to this scope because of how pleased I’ve been with other vortex optics, the features, and glass clarity for the price of the Optic. I’m not disappointed at all. The scope feels and looks great on the AR-10 platform. Not too big, has plenty of magnification and great options for tactical/precision shooting. Though I haven’t spent much time behind the Setup yet, I’m greatly pleased with Optic for my intended use.

Amazing

I bought this one because I liked my PST so much and I have to say the gen 2 is a great improvement. The only thing I am sad about is I did not buy two of them

Can’t beat it for the money.

Hands down one of the best bang for your buck optics on the market. I recommend it to anyone who wants a premium optic but aren’t able to fork our $2,000.

Workhorse!!!

I put the PST Gen II 3-15 on top of a large frame AR in 308 Win and it’s been an absolute pleasure! I recently took the rifle to a match and had no problem going from 0-600 yards with hold overs or dialing elevation. Turrets aren’t quite Razor HD turrets however they work extremely well and the zero stop is great. This is a super high value optic and I would certainly recommend to anyone getting into precision shooting

Great features

I bought a gen 1 and won a gen 2 bought another gen 2 too replace my nikons. I found with gen 2 it was easier to zero, and placement of illuminated dial did not hinder addition of defender caps

My other favorte scope besides the razor

I recently pieced together a 6.5 grendel with left over parts and realized my original scope I was going to use was busted. So, time to score a new one. A friend of mine had this model for sale and a great price and took his offer. Slapped it on the grendel and went to town. So, I was amazingly surprised how clear this optic is despite the price. I've ran it side by side with the Razor gen II and it's almost as sharp. There are some slight aberrations at max power along the fringes but that's minor. I really don't care as the target comes in crisp. The Horus style cross hair set up is also hands down amazing. Great for fast follow up shots. I was used to the old style shim zero stop and had to re-learn the new set up. It's actually pretty simple and very easy. Allowing one to set up the zero so that the scope turret is zero-ed at the bottom and the internal turret is the one adjusted. Very straight forward. The main turret o-ring is a bit thin and may wear out but Vortex will easily replace it for you. All in all, a pretty darn amazing optic. Def one of my favs.

Solidly built WOW

I have 3 of these. I was out hunting in the snow going up the side of Ute mountain. I slipped and fell right on top of the scope, oh great there goes the scope,. Not exactly no signs of damage so I carried on. Went out later and did the box test and no problem works great. Beautiful piece of fine workmaship,. Thanks for the excellent quality. I highly recommend your products all the time.

Great optic; you would be hard pressed to find a better scope for the money, based on it’s features. Very nice step-up from the Gen 1 viper PST, works great on my SPR.

Awesome value

Tossed this on my trainer 22lr and couldn't be happier. Tracks well, glass is clear. Love that the reticle matches my Razor. So much easier to set zero than the Gen 1s and its great to know Vortex is just down the road if any issues arise.

Awesome Value

This is my 5th PST Viper from Vortex. Value and glass is great for the money. RZR zero stop And 5x magnification are welcome features compared to the previous CRS zero stop and 4x magnification. Really enjoy the EBR-2C as it is very usable and not too busy for me.

Perfect Match for Me

I have the PST II in 3-15x44 FFP on a Barrett Fieldcraft 308, and the PST II in 5-25x50 FFP for a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight 300 Win Mag. I have been very pleased with the performance, ease of use, and ruggedness of these optics. Though heavy, that is offset by pairing them with lighter guns; I have the scope performance I want, with the overall setup weight that I find acceptable. I have shot with these scopes on several other rifles prior to purchase, and on out to 1000 yards and have been happy with with glass performance and adjustments.
