One of the sellers elsewhere indicated it was for both Diamondback and Diamondback Tactical. It Does NOT fit the Diamondback.

Make sure you have the right scope before you buy it. majority of the negative comments are just mad at themselves. came in good packaging and has lasted me 3 years and counting

Second one I have bought. Fits perfectly and screws in the objective lens without any problems. It is a necessary accessory for your hunting rifle scope.

I have the Diamondback 3-9 x 40 "non-tactical" scope. Apparently I'm not the only one that didn't know your 40mm sun shade only fits your 40mm Tactical scopes. Looks like quality work. It'll make a nice pencil holder. No wonder i paid less through a vendor on Amazon.

I have the Diamondback Tactical 4-12x40, This sunshade is made specifically for the scope. I can't find anything wrong! It fits, does the job, and doesn't break the bank as opposed to other brands. Am fast becoming a Vortex fan!

I ordered the sunshade for my diamondback 3-9x40 and assumed it was the same size as the 3-9x40 tactical. I was wrong by about 2mm. The sunshade is great quality and made of aluminum or some other metal and not cheap plastic like other brands. Just make sure you have the right scope and actually check the exact models it fits.

I bought this sunshade which is clearly labeled to fit the diamondback 4-12x40 scope, but the threading is too small. It is not possible for it to fit. What the heck vortex?

This sunshade definitely makes optic complete, keeps the glare out and make it easier for clearer sight picture.
