Used this primarily to set up archery targets for my daughter. Very easy to use and fun ranging deer in the back yard. Then we misplaced it. Turned up a year later on the day she passed her Archery I instructor certification. Battery still reads fully charged. A solid yes on recommending this product.

I bought this for coyote hunting but it struggles with giving me yardage outside of 350. bought new battery with same result.

i like the rangefinder but it is off by a yard for some reason..i used my old rangefinder and an actual mesuring tape and it is off by a yard and i dont know how to fix it

I used to buy the smaller/cheaper rangefinders thinking that I was saving myself some money but in the long run it only cost me. Once I realized this and purchased my Vortex Ranger Range Finder I have kicked myself everyday since for not doing it sooner. The Picture clarity and rugged reliability is awesome. I would definitely highly recommend this product.

Here in Southwest PA their is almost no such thing as a horizontal shot. The hills simply don’t allow for it. I needed a rangefinder and was drawn to the HCD technology. Takes the guesswork out of the equation. Clarity is great and It always gives me an accurate range.

I have had this range finder for about 6 months now and it has been a solid piece of kit. Extremely accurate and I am a big fan of the angle compensation. I have only used it for bow hunting so far but I look forward to using it for years to come.

Really love my Ranger- it fits great in my bino harness and I can easily determine the ranges of objects around me. Since I shoot with an adjustable single pin sight, it's necessary to be able to quickly and accurately know how far to set my pin, and the Ranger 1300 makes that possible.

Initially started with a different brand and after being disappointed, I exchanged it due this Vortex. This unit is way better in every way. Quick target acquisition and accurate range in a usable distance. Great work as usual Vortex Optics!

I have had the ranger 1300 a little under a year now. It has stood up to conditions I never thought that a rangefinder could. It has been dropped onto rocks, stepped on, and used in every type of weather imaginable. I bring it on every hunt, from -34 Celsius to +25 Celsius. It has has worked flawlessly through it all. I have ranged distances from right up close all the way out to the side of a barn at 1383 yards, and found it to be very accurate. The battery life is outstanding. I use it on medium brightness and the battery life indicator has yet to drop down even one tic after all this time. The red reticle display does a great job at standing out against all sorts of backgrounds. I much prefer it to a standard black display you see on other models.

Bought this 2 weeks ago for the upcoming archery season. So far I've had no problems and ranged out to 900 yards with it just testing it out. Vortex is always high quality

Used across the country, never any issues whether at 12000' chase elk in a ground blind for turkeys or treestand for whitetails. Excellent low light performance and extremely accurate.

I ordered one of these two months ago as I’d lost my mates older unit and after useing his new unit I ended up buying one myself and it has been so handy from useing it to site in new scopes or when ranging a four legged target The Ranger is the perfect size to put inside a jacket or hang around my neck or use the clip to put on my belt it’s well made and easy to use and being Vortex you just know you have a quality product the moment you use it

This range finder is a trifecta! What do I mean by that? It’s got the quality, the durability and the price point that any hunter wants! You won’t regret this purchase, especially once you take it out in the field and see it perform! The adjustable brightness display is one of my favorite features and is especially great to have in dusk/dawn situations when you most likely will need it the most. Can’t go wrong with this product!

I had another brand, starts with a L. This winter me and a buddy (had same one) could not range a coyote at 400 yards. By the time we got a reading it was too late to shoot. I was appalled at the close distance that i could not get a reading off the fence line. We thought it was farther away and didn't want to shoot without a correct range. I immediately went and exchanged it for a vortex and took the vortex outside to test it out, it was snowing fairly heavy and i had no issues ranging a snowy hillside at 749 yards away consistently. Anything that was a solid object was 100% reading and the snowy hillside was 3 out of 5 I'd say. Still a lot better than my old one. I will use it as my low power monocular in the bowhunting woods. Didn't disappoint ranging archery targets for turkey hunting or helping me range a nice tom at the end of my fiances range this year.

I’ve had the ranger on multiple hunts and it’s a game changer. It’s super easy to operate. From ranging animals to using it to help me play a game to help me see if my guess was close to the yardage.

Purchased my Ranger 1300 at the start of Bow season 2018 and by far it has become one of my favorite tools since. I'm known to be a bit of a clutz and it was no different this season. After getting in my stand just before sun-up I was rummaging in my pack for coffee. Out pops my Ranger and I swear it hit every step on the way down. Luckily none of the glass was damaged and besides a few nicks all is well. Tested its range vs my buddies and we are still spot on. Amazing product and a great build.

I purchased my Range 1300 about a year ago now. After a lot of research, reading and side-by-side testing, I choose these. I purchased these mainly for prairie dog shooting which they are outstanding for but also many othre hunting and non-hunting uses. Very clear optic, accurate and easy to use. I purchased this product about eight months ago and it was money well spent. I had always tried to estimate distance and had failed miserably time after time. This rangefinder is very consistent when ranging targets it provides very reliable readings. It has ranged deer out too 500 yards for me and brush piles at 889 yards, it has also ranged turkeys at 12 yards. It works very well in most lightning conditions, at times it will not range objects such as; power poles, dirt banks, or sage brush in low light conditions, and that could be caused by my unsteady hands not being able to provide a consistent point of aim. Overall it is a great product and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good rangefinder at an affordable price!

I've had my Ranger for about a year now and it has never failed to provide an accurate distance both in the field and on the golf course. Sturdy, solid construction. The lighted reticle is a life saver in low light conditions as well. i will never leave Vortex for all of my optics needs. VIP Warranty can't be beat and they have the quality to back it up!

This is a very good quality rangefinder for a great price. There are only two buttons on it which makes for simple controls and takes only a few minutes to figure out how to navigate through the menu

I got these to upgrade my Bushnell chuck adams edition. I love all the features on this. The Red LED in low light vs a black cross hair for ranging is brilliant! Its light weight but does not feel cheap! Its being used for ranging during practice. I have ranged through glass with it where i couldnt do that before. Its perfect!
