Dark glass

Glass is too dark. Hard to find sight picture. I upgraded to diamondback.

The best for the price

For anyone looking for the best entry into distance shooting this is the optic for them. This is comparable to some of my $800 optics at a fraction of the price.

Great scope with a great price

This scope is exactly what I needed for my 7mm mag. It's very clear and it focuses well. I had no issues holding a group at 300-500 yards.

Vortex Crossfire

This scope has been amazing. Great quality glass helps with the clarity. I have used it on several hunts and it house performed amazingly even in less than ideal conditions.

Amazing Optic for the price!

I have always used Vortex optics for hunting deer in Alabama! This Crossfire II is by far the best scope for the money! Amazing clarity (as usual) and the BDC is an added bonus. What works best is the ability to easily pick up targets, both on the move and still, and the feasibility of moving the focal plane to get the best sight picture! Amazing quality and the Dead-Hold cannot be beat! I have recommended this product to multiple friends and all have purchased to their delight!

Long Range target scope

I have used this scope for Mid and Long Range High Power Rifle competition and found it to be sharp and clear with solid repeatable adjustments

This is very basic, and just what I wanted.

Great scope, however all the BDC sweet spot is at 18X and not true at 24X. It takes a little extra time to figure those for yourself. I run this on a Browning x bolt in 6.8 Western. I love the simplicity of the optics and not the busy Christmas tree in my field of view. Good glass and clear view.

Great optic

I shoot this optic on my .338 win mag and it has performed flawless. Average 400 yard shots all day long everything on the optic works great and like it should .

Vortex optics

In general I find vortex optics appealing, their prices, durability, as well as the warranty are all selling points. This scope particularly is fantastic with the dead-hold reticle. I've used it on a 300 wmag to a ruger precision 22lr, perfect scope for a wide range of uses

Totally satisfied

Got this 6-24x50 Crossfire II for a Remington 700 VLS in 204 Ruger for an all purpose varmint rifle. Holds zero very well even after bouncing around in the back seat of my truck in a soft case all summer. Obviously have to touch it up now and then but never more than a few clicks off. I even mounted it myself without any torque wrench. If you have the proper tools or want to have a professional do it, go right ahead. I prefer to use common sense and do a quality job myself. Go Vortex!

Inexpensive and works

It provides a decent value for the money. Does what it is supposed to do, just don't expect perfect view. Mounted on an AR10 at the moment and shooting 2 inch groups at 200 yards so as mentioned before it is doing what it is designed to do.

Good until you use 24X

I recently bought this scope as my 5th Vortex. It is on a rimfire setup for 100 yards and beyond. First use at 24X was like looking through a fog. Dialed down to 16X is is very clear. I shoukd have sent it back to Cabela's but instead sent to Vortex. After several days I recieved a phone call from a Vortex rep. He said I should have spent $100 more and got a better quality scope. I assume the fog look at higher magnification is a no extra charge. By the time I got it back from Vortex it was too late to send back to Cabela's. Everything else besides the cheap glass is good. I shot it today indoors and any magnification above 16X started getting foggy. 24X was almost impossible to use. After this experience this will be the last Vortex product I purchase.

Fell apart

I have it mounted on a 338 lapua magnum and after I shot it maybe 20 times the end of the scope literally fell off, I tried screwing it back on and it won?t screw on, and now the scope seems out of focus completely, almost as if your looking through a bubble

Great choice at this price point

I have the 6-24x50 mounted to my Savage BA-10 in 6.5CM suppressed. I had great performance after an easy zero, but I suddenly began to have issues with shots above 250m. I sent the scope back to Vortex which repaired a bent tube at no cost. The repaired optic was remounted and zeroed easily, returning to sub-MOA performance. No need to spend thousands on your scope.

Best budget scope on the market

If your just getting into to rifle shooting and you want something that’s quality and is going to perform really well and be consistently reliable but your not trying to break the bank this is your ticket or maybe you have a cheaper rifle and don’t want to spend more on the scope then the gun this is it the glass quality is well above it’s price range you may not get all the fancy features but if you want a scope that just flat out works season after season this thing is a deer slayer

Best scope I’ve had

I inherited two of these from my Father after he passed away. I put one on a AR 308 build I had just started and it has been the best scope. I’ve spent $500+ on other brands and this one is my favorite and is the clearest Optic. I have seen bought another one and put them on both my savage 30-06 hunting rifle and my 243 Remington 770.

Awsome starter scope

I run these on my boys rifles mostly 204 and 223 they hold true and have turret caps so they arent making adjustments on their own while im not looking. Great clarity and ease of adjustment even for tiny fingers. Great starter scope for youth.

First take: A+

Overall build on this low model Vortex is great. Even though it’s low in price comparison, it’s not missing any features. great clarity and easy to adjust magnification. Haven’t had the opportunity to play around with the AO yet, but I’m sure it will easy to do

Perfect Bang for the Buck

I bought this scope to put on the Mossberg MVP LC model that I picked up on a memorial day sale last year. The rifle comes from the factory with a picatinny rail fixed to the receiver, but no scope package or anything else installed. I decided on this scope after doing some reading online on entry-to-mid level riflescopes. Easy to mount and, after some time spent zeroing at the range, very easy to get what I was looking for in terms of accuracy over distance. I would consider myself to be an intermediate shooter, but I try to ball on a budget when I can, and the Crossfire II fit that bill for me. I've been able to hit silhouette-style targets out to ~550 yards, and wouldn't be the least bit surprised if I could continue to push that envelope back another hundred yards or so. All in all, awesome scope for the money and has served every need I've had on my 5.56 rifle. Love the idea of the VIP warranty with Vortex too, that helps to make this scope purchase a little bit of a no-brainer. Only thing I'd like to be better, honestly, is that some accessories for this scope have been kind of hard to come by (at least for the officially-licensed Vortex accessories like honeycomb killflash covers, etc..

Best 6-24X50 in this Price Point.

By VooDoo

I purchased a Vortex Crossfire II 6-24X50 AO with DEad hold BDC Reticle and mounted it to my Savage 10 FCP-SR in 6.5 Creedmoor. I am building my first precision rifle and wanted to stay on a conservative budget hoping for sub MOA performance and staying around $1000 for the gun and "stuff" which I have done. I highly recommend this scope for a starter unit - it performs far above it's price point. Sharp clear glass, positive turret clicks, tracks and holds zero as well as scope costing 3X as...
