Excellent Red dot sight, I can see the dot very clearly on very sunny days against a bright target/backdrop. I did have a problem where the screws came loose while firing at the range. I suggest sighting the sight in at the position on your gun where it is comfortable and then removing the sight and using some sort of thread sealer to keep the screws in place. I have don't so with waterproofing tape (just a tiny amount) and that seems to hold well. I lost one of the screws because of this and ended up calling customer service about getting replacements. Call in, was answered almost immediately, the customer service rep listened to me patiently, and then very concisely gathered my information and sent out an order of replacement parts for me! It was a quick efficient process, with a polite representative, and I greatly appreciate that. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that Vortex even sent me a Vortex hat! I'm happy to wear it, as it's very comfortable! Thank you Vortex crew so much!

Great product. I love it, it's my favorite red dot I own by far! It's on my PSA AR 9. It made an already accurate platform SO much more accurate and fun to shoot. I am going to try a magnifier behind it next. I would love to put a vortex red dot or holographic sight on my ksg to replace the holographic sight I already wasted money on. Vortex send some sights/scopes my way and I'd love to leave an excellent review for what I know will be an excellent product!!

I bought it for my Mossberg 590 A1 with a low Ariska low mount, built like a tank. Worked wonderfully. However, I wanted a MOTAC feature, so I bought the SIG Romeo. What a piece of junk in terms of material quality and craftsmanship when compared with the Cross Fire. I mounted the Sig Roneo on the Shot gun with a high-quality laser to sight it in. I simply could not get the SIG Romeo to center on the red dot from the laser. It wouldn't even show through the SIG Romero window. Took the SIG off, threw it the garbage can, and replaced the Cross Fire on the Arisaka mount, and I was able to ballpark the sight in. As you know, shot guns can only be really sighted in by firing them at a target, and then making the proper adjustments.

It's an aimpoint micro t2 that doesn't cost $700. Great product, same size, footprint, and durability for a fraction of the price

Simple red dot does the job. I am a fan of the dial illumination as compared to the strikefire which has a button.

The dial has 11 settings. The (2) N1 and N2 are basically unusable (need night vision per support chat I had). In daytime, I have to turn all the way to 10 to see the dot; anything lower would be near impossible to see. Have not tried at nighttime. I have other Vortex dots (SPARC II, Spitfire and Strikefire) and love those dots. Can't say that about this one but will use it anyway since I "won" it at a match.

I stripped out the mounting screws, they warrantied it in less than 5 days (minus shipping time). Amazing customer service and product.

Currently have this sight on my Kriss Vector and it preforms great. Easy to sight in and very easy to use. I would imagine if you were trying to shoot any type of distance you might want a magnifier but that is with most 1x red dots. I have no complaints about this product and would recommend especially to beginners due to the ease of use and setup.

For the price there probably isnt a better sight. Does what is expected of a red dot sight. Easily zeros. I have it on a 20 gauge slug gun. Works great in short distances. Red dot gets fuzzy the brighter you make it.

This is a rugged site. Mine had the lower base loc-tite fail (very likely my fault), and it fell off my carbine onto a concrete slab 2 floors below. I sent it in last week for the VIP warranty service and received a whole new site shipped to me today. I'm glad I've invested in Vortex products -- it's good to know that my Viper PST on my Rem 700 is protected by this warranty as well. You've got my continued business, Vortex! Thank you!!

I have used this optic for about a year now. I tried it out just by itself it served it's purpose but with out a magnifier it wasn't exactly what I needed. I have ordered the magnifier from vortex and wI'll be adding it to this optic and see if it makes up for distance engaments. vortex makes great optics it wad a mistake on my part for just purchasing a red dot. I would recommend this optic just make sure to add a magnifier with it.

Mounted on a micro roni with a glock 19. Holds zero as expected on a polymer 9mm, easy adjustments and easy to dial in. Works great, nice compact design to not add weight or size. Easy to adjust for beginners to experts.

Great basic red dot for the price. Its a solid product that is fairly versatile. Bought one to use on a muzzle loader where magnified optics are illegal. Buying a second one to use on a shotgun.

Compared to other sights of its caliber, it's a fraction of the cost. I currently have it mounted to a Henry 45-70 on a Skinner sights base. It has held zero through multiple hunts and not so gentle treatment on occasion. This is a great solution for someone looking for a sight with rapid acquisition and long battery life, that isn't going to break if you use it. If using this on an AR, your backup iron sights will not be usable with the riser.

Mounted on a AR-15 worked well! Great red dot. No problems at all, just wish the wheel to adjust brightness could spin both directions making it easier to dial directly to high power.

This optic performs well however, I own two of them and they both eat batteries, after leaving the dot on for over a month it becomes invisible under level 7 and the topped out brightness is not daylight bright. I've seen forums of people saying they had this issue and sent it in via warranty and when they got it back it still had the same issue

This little guy doesn't break. It doesn't break the bank and it doesn't break after 3 years of continuous use on a 12ga patrol shotgun.
