I tried Leupold, Steiner, Bushnell, and Nikon. Vortex was near Leupold in quality construction and appearance but I liked the clarity and brilliance of the performance. Warranty= If It fails due to damage that was not intentional, parts not abused vortex will repair or replace for no charge. I chose Fortex.

I can’t believe these have no reviews. Great glass, lifetime warranty, and clarity that will put most binoculars to shame. As a bonus at 8x42 you will actually be able to hold them steady. Anything more spends is a waste of money for most folks.

We bought 10x42 Diamondback Binoculars over 15 years ago and they have travelled the world watching birds but broke completely a few weeks ago. We wrote them off but I then contacted Vortex in the US who said they would replace them under their VIP warranty - amazing and they contacted their UK agent and we had the new binoculars today. Brilliant and we shall recommend Vortex to anyone wanting to buy a really good pair of binoculars that are truly for 'life'!

Really love the clarity and quality of these binoculars. I am very impressed with them at this price point or even compared to more expensive models. These are all the binoculars I need for my hunting and outdoor adventures.

I bought this right before general deer season. It showed to be worth its weight in gold. Bucks were missed by others that I was able to spot. You won't find a better glass at a better value.

Recently purchased the Diamondback 8x42 Bino. I love the crystal clear images. I loved them even more when I compared them to my friends more expensive brand and realized that my less expensive binoculars where brighter with better resolution. An awesome find for my old eyes. Great products produced by Vortex!

Up until recently, I hadn't found the need for Bino's or more so didn't think I did. After starting more 3D archery shoots I quickly realized they were needed. Everywhere I looked Vortex name kept coming up in every positive review I read (and I am a Review-Monger!) and made the move to buy the Diamondback 8x42 binos, being bowhunting and archery shoots are my passion. I have to say I am very impressed with the clarity of the glass and the weight of these. I know that these binoculars combined with the Vortex Glasspak I got will surpass my expectations for my bowhunts and 3D shoots for many years to come! The piece of mind of the VIP Warranty is the greatest feeling to have, knowing that if something happens with them, Vortex has my back.

I bought these in preparation for my CO elk hunt and could not be more impressed. They were much better than the leupold’s and Nikon’s I looked at and were actually less expensive. So satisfied I bought a Vortex rifle scope and will soon buy a spotting scope!

I tried the Diamondback binos after many years of similarly priced competitors glass. I wanted a quality binocular in a compact size that did not bust my budget for deer hunting. The clarityand brightness is noticibly better and the price was very manageable. And this is Vortex's base line! You have found another loyal customer.

I bought a pair of these 8x42 this fall and fell in love with them. They are light and comfortable and not bulky at all perfect for bow hunting. Work very well looking over small fields and through the woods.

I originally purchased a used pair, the older style of diamondbacks. I ended up breaking that pair and sent it in to be fixed. Like the ads say, the warranty was fast, hassle free and they ended up sending me a brand new pair. I’m only a few years into hunting and these have changed the game for me.

Needed A pair of Bino’s For an upcoming elk trip. Winters in the Wyoming mountains are not for the faint of heart so I know they needed to be durable and reliable among all other things. After testing many many options at the local hunting outfitter I decided on the Diamondback. The clarity was amazing. I was able to glass the snowy peaks for an hour before I needed to give my eyes a break. My uncle (lifelong hunter) asked to use them for a second and immediately said “wow”. He asked me if they were of another brand. (Rymes with Shmarshmoski). I laughed. Goes to show how much tender loving awesomeness goes into these things. Would recommend to a friend 10/10.

These were the first bino's I purchased and put them to the test right off the bat out in Idaho. After 10 days of rain, snow, sleet and fog I never had an issue. No fogged up lenses compared to my Dad's Leupolds. Many hours were spent behind these bino's and I couldn't be happier.

I picked up a pair of the 8x42’s for work an they are fantastic! I beat the heck out of these things. They are always tossed up in the dashboard of the truck, an often fall to the floor boards when in bad terrain. Been using them for over a year and they still hold up! The glass is often covered in dust, but a quick rub down from a glass cleaning wipe clears them right back up. Had the “vortex 8x42” sticker fall off from the focus knob and had the screws start to come loose, but tightened them back down an she runs good as new! Great bino’s for the price. Decent glass, and extreme durability!

Bought these for a Nebraska deer hunt. Could not have been happier. Super clear. Relatively light. Debated between the 8x42 and the 10x42. Glad I went with the 8x42mm. Easy to hold. Wide field of view. Great low light. Highly recommend.

These accomplish everything I need them to and more here in Ohio. These make it to the stand every time I go hunting. Wether it be looking at deer 300 yards away in an ag field or watching the wood packer 20 yds from your stand these accomplish the mission. One of my favorite pieces of equipment I own.

We travel to Africa frequently, and have used many high quality brands of binoculars. The Vortex Diamondback is by far the best value with the highest quality. I bought these in the middle of this season and have been blown away. The clarity is amazing. The structure is solid. I've seen Steve Rinella use Vortex optics on Meat Eater and tout the value in not going cheap on optics. He was absolutely correct. These are great in low light, facing towards the sun, and in normal conditions. The warranty offered by Vortex is also unparalleled. Holding these also makes you understand how they can offer that warranty. These things are solid! Great product overall. Highly recommended!

I’ve had my eyes on these for about sixth month before I bought them, and I’m so happy I did! I was looking for a pair of vortex, because of the VIP warranty and the quality and versatility of vortex products. I used a pair of vortex cross fire binoculars as a sage grouse researcher for five months, and was impressed with how well they held up to the dirt, dust, weather and abuse I put them through. I wanted a pair of personal binoculars for birding, hunting and wildlife viewing. Friends and colleagues recommended the diamond backs. I love how durable the feel in my hand. I bought these pair right before a winter trip to Yellowstone and the worked awesome! Thy helped me see five members of one of the wolf packs in the park, as well as moose elk, and eagles. They didn’t fog up in the cold temperatures ranging from 8 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. I can’t believe how clear the field of view is. I’m excited to continue to use these for years to come.

These binoculars were everything I wanted and more! The size fits perfectly in my hands, the clarity is crystal clear as well as visibility in low light situations. I used these in the harsh winter in new england and never once had an issue with them fogging up! I recommend these binoculars to anyone looking for budget pair of binoculars with premium quality!

I got these with the biggest selling point being the longer eye relief, because i wear glasses. I feel comfortable looking through them with my "closer to the face" glasses, but not my stylish pair that stick out a little farther.

These are the binoculars that turned me on to the Vortex family! I was being cheap and ended up buying the 8 powers but I couldn't have been more happy with them. I bought the very first pair and they lasted for a while until the eye pieces stopped working and imperfection in the glass showed up. I sent them in for repair but Vortex ended up sending me a brand new pair! They are a great binocular and they will continue to get my business.
