Amazing, you don't how great they are until you are in the environment you need that great quality.
When they arrived at my house in Michigan and I pulled them out I kind of shrugged and thought to myself yea they are OK. I just got back from a scouting trip in Colorado and the moment you get up and walk the ridges and rocky outcrops then pull on the Vortex Diamondback 10x50 you understand by they are listed as one of the best products on the market. The clarity and the crisp view is unmatched. I highly recommend this for big game hunters looking to drop the extra weight of a spotting scope.

Great starter and backup Binos!
I am a big fan of Vortex and have these, the Viper HDs and the Razor HDs and while the Razors are by far my favorite I got these as a backup set to just leave in the truck in case I need to look at something and not worry about my super nice pairs getting lost or stolen. They are great for what I use them for, on the fly, within a couple houndred yards and in daylight you almost cant tell a difference in clarifty between higher end glass (there is a difference in edge clarity and FOV) low light it can get a little tough but not bad. If you are looking for a good starter bino and don't want to break the bank these are it! If you are looking for a backup pair of binos for the truck, range, sight seeing, these are it!

Very good while hunting, clarity
Very good while hunting, clarity is good and seems to be of good quality. Really like that they came with a carry bag that straps to your chest, very convenient to get them out when I need to glass a ridge. Would highly recommend for anyone who likes to hunt or just watch nature.

Perfect size to be your go to set of binos really light and the included chest holder is awesome. The clarity is next level and they worked great in lower light evening hunts. If you want to buy one pair of binoculars that you won't have to replace or upgrade this is the set for you. For the price you're getting a lot of bang for your buck.

Best I've ever had.
I have Vortex scopes on my firearms but have neve owned any of their binoculars. So I bought these for a trip to Alaska. Everybody in my group quickly wanted to use them instead of their own. Sharp crip images made it ideal for spotting bear, moose and nesting eagles.

Vortex did a great job with these Diamondback binoculars. I've been super happy with mine. They have great image quality, functionality, and durability. They're also nicely lightweight and easy to carry/use in the field. I don't go on a hunting trip without them. I've never been let down by any Vortex optics product I've tried, and these Diamondbacks are no exception. Would happily buy them again, and would happily recommend them to others in the market. Good to go!

perfect for glassing.
Vortex makes quality products. This is a great starter bino to get into glassing animals for hunting and even wildlife watching. Image quality is decent and has a great zoom. Recommended.

Excellent glass and size
Really great optics and perfect size for a 10 power binocular. Great for elk hunting out west, or glassing whitetail from a tree stand. Perfect size to weight ratio.

Older Eagle Optics Binoculars Replaced
My beloved Eagle Optics binoculars needed repair- Vortex is now covering the warranty for EO. I sent out to Vortex (they supplied a prepaid label) and a few weeks later I receive a brand new pair of Diamondback HD binoculars! Whaat??
Amazing customer service and communication. Looking forward to my next birding adventure with my new binos!

Great for the price
Affordable, Nice Clarity, Hard to justify spending anymore money for minimal additional performance. For the size of the Binos I was underwhelmed with the performance but that has little to do with vortex and more to do with this class of Binos in general.

Voters optics rock
The quality of the optics is second to none. I've tried other optics for scopes and optics, but the difference is simply astounding. Vortex gets my vote every time. Have you ever taken a picture with a lesser quality camera then taken the same picture with a superb camera? I have. The image captured is night and day difference. Vortex is my first go-to always. Furthermore, the support they provide is superb. You can't go wrong with Vortex.

Great value, clear glass, easy adjustment knobs, and Vortex has the best warranty around. Field of view is better than expected, weight isn't noticbly different from comparable and more expensive brands.

Better than the expensive Binoculars
I purchased the much lauded, expensive Zeiss 8x42. I returned them and bought a pair of Vortex 8x42 for 2/3 less. They are Lighter, Tighter and Brighter! There is a lot of cloud cover this Spring in New England. I think they will be good with their wide angles for a little star gazing. So far, they have been superb looking at the trees and the Atlantic. Where are the striped bass? I hope to see the shore birds swooping down to reveal the bigger fish. I plan some birding too. So far, they are the best binoculars I have ever looked through.

My First Foray into Higher-End Binocular Segment
I hope everyone at Vortex is healthy and happily employed!
I purchased the Diamondback HD 8x42 binocular SKU DB-214 last September at the CT Bridgeport Bass Pro - Cabelas store, what I consider an 'investment' buy - as in - a binocular kit FOR LIFE.
And I was not disappointed. I already own a dozen binoculars, large 7 to 10x50s, zoom models, intermedate 8x40s, and car glove-box duty 8x25 pieces. All decent stuff, until the Diamondback bit. . .
Construction:
Very HEAVY for it's size and magnfication class. All adjustments required actual effort, and stayed put until I needed to adjust again. Not a flimsy piece of material anywhere to be found.
The ocular shades click between different settings, for regular users and those wearing eye/sunglasses. All lens movement is internalized inside the twin barrels, as in, no external bridge holding the optics to the objective lenses to bend or crush.
The VIEWWWW:
Stunning, both by day and by night. Bright and crystal clear, I forgot I was looking through them until I lowered them to my chest via the included strap.
The Accessories:
Handy carry bag, although the neck strap took me no less than 45min. to feed through the various openings to attach it to the carry bag. Lens caps stay with the binocular, but hang out of the way if you take the time to attach them correctly. Quality-feel dust cloth for wiping lenses.
Overall:
As I previously referred to these as an investment, they are a big step for me into the mid-upper end scale of sports & rec. optics. Approaches Swarovski caliber without the stratospheric price, but still head and shoulders above familiar brands (Canon, Bushnell, Nikon, etc. )
A general statement about binoculars, regardless of one's price point or preferred brands: Among the inventory at the store I purchased the Diamondbacks, I noticed only 3 binoculars with a magnification less than 10X, including this model that I bought. All others were 10X, 12X, or higher, even glove-box sized models with only 20-25mm objective lenses.
I realize that people nowadays are of the 'more is better' mentality about just every facet in life: louder speakers, brighter TVs, more air in their tires. And, higher magnefication in binocs and other optics. Not always the case.
I find the best experiences with hand-held optics to be at magnification factors of 7 up to 10x, max. Binoculars of 11X and up can be appreciated only via a tripod or other support structure. It just gets too shakey over 10x for practical observing purposes.
Please continue to offer binoculars with sensible magnfications, such as 7x to 10x, for us vintage users!

Great binoculars.
These binoculars have very clear glass, are easy to focus and are a compact size for the power. Great for nature watching while on a hike or just looking out your back door. Comes with usual neck strap and lens covers but also comes with a nice case to help protect when not in use. Would recommend to anyone looking for a pair of binoculars on the compact size end with a good amount of magnification.
