I have tried many others including Kowa, Zeiss, Swarovski, etc. these for the price point are great, definitely better scopes out there but none around this price point would be comparable.

Recently submitted an older model Diamondback for warranty. It was unrepairable so they sent me this brand spanking new one and its night and day difference in glass quality. Vortex has really stepped up the quality and design of the Diamondback series. I am really pleased with the whole warranty process. If you want a smaller pack and budget friendly spotter, this is it!

I have several scopes, spotting scopes, and binoculars from Vortex Optics. First off I love the lifetime warranty, I destroyed a scope when I fell down going down a canyon to retrieve a deer, then I crushed a tube by over-tightening the rings. Both times Vortex sent me new optics even though I told them it was my fault. Last year my spotting scope fell over in high winds and when I went back to pick it up it still works as if it were new. Tough and dependable.

Great scope for a great price. The only downside is the clarity takes a large hit when at full power. Picture becomes hazy and dark. Somewhat to be expected but not the best when compared to other spotting scopes in the same price point. Still very happy with the spotting scope and it is well made!

Perfect for getting better look at big game, from deer in south dakota, all the way to SW Texas on my first trip hunting deer, pig and audad. The cover that comes with it helps greatly to keep dust and dirt out. Super easy to operate the focus dial. Young kids can easily operate it and spend hours each day looking for critters. Great price point. Works perfect for us.

Vortex always makes solid gear. This is no exception. I just got it as an entry into spotting scopes that wasn't going to break the bank. It's a little on the heavy side if you want to backpack with it. It does the job if you're using it out on day hikes. Overall, great tool to have in the field.

Ive had a few spotting scopes before yet this one's performance was amazing. Using it out in California to spot for mule deer was easier than I expected for my first hunt in the west. I've immediately placed it in my kit for hunting and work due to the weight and durability of the scope. My wife and kids also love to take it when we go on hikes to look at other wildlife. Over all this was an amazing investment.

I can count the grains in wood at 300 meters, I use to shoot the Excellence in Combat, Texas Army Guard, The Range Master would show up on the Range with GODS EYE, Been wanting one of these for a while, Finally got one, Ill be using it on the 1,500 Meter Range,

I bought the diamondback spotting scope for hunting and so far have enjoyed it very much! It worked very good for sitting down and glassing different hills and mountains but was a little heavy for walking around with. Overall I would recommend the scope for someone's first spotting scope but if you plan to go on long hikes I would look into a more lightweight scope such as the razor.
