The Vortex Optics Kaibab HD 15x56 Roof-Prism Binocular is designed for high performance in low-light conditions. Whether you're bird-watching or hunting, dawn and dusk are the perfect times to spot and view game and you need a binocular that can deliver. To make the most of the large 56mm objectives, the lenses are made of High Density (HD) Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass with a phase-corrected apochromatic optical system. This produces images that are bright and crisp, with true color transmission, across the entire field of view without distortion.

All the optical surfaces are fully-multicoated with Vortex Optics's XRPlus coatings. This anti-reflective coating ensures minimal light loss and maximum light transmission through the lenses. The roof prisms feature dielectric coatings with better than 99% reflectivity to make sure as much light as possible makes it to your eye.

The optical tubes are argon-filled and o-ring sealed to be water and fogproof. This is especially important at dawn and dusk when dew is prevalent and temperature changes can cause condensation. The Kaibab has a center focus wheel that is easily accessible with either hand, with a right-hand dioptric adjustment for crisp and sharp focusing. Twist-up eyecups let you customize your eye relief, with or without eyewear.

Rubber armoring on the body helps ensure a secure non-slip grip, while providing protection against drops and impacts. Vortex Optics recommends that the binocular be mounted on a tripod, so a tripod adapter is included. Given their size and magnification, using the Kaibab with a tripod will give your arms a break and provide a solid platform with reduced vibration and shake.
