The Vortex Nomad 20-60 x 80 Waterproof Straight Spotting Scope is a waterproof and nitrogen-purged fogproof scope that has a relatively light, sleek profile perfectly suited for travel and long hikes. This is the straight-through viewing model of the Nomad, which uses the conventional porro prism design to direct the view immediately behind the scope. This makes it a hair shorter and lighter than its angled-viewing sibling and also facilitates and easier time of locating the subject. Straight viewing format is ideal whenever viewing from an elevated position, but does require a taller tripod and is not ideally suited to sharing a view amongst multiple users of varied heights.

The Nomad's zoom eyepiece takes you from wider sweeping at 20x to more targeted details at 60x.
