I switched to this from a Nightforce NXS 1-4x24. I always liked the Nightforce and felt the glass on it was good until I finally got my hands on this scope. There is no comparison at any magnification. The glass is beyond superior and words do not do it justice. The illumination is daylight bright as well making the scope that much faster at 1x. It is bigger and heavier than my Nightforce NXS but for the better glass and illumination, it is an easy trade off to make.

Got the MRAD 1x6 Razor HD II E in a Geissele mount on my HK rifle. Does everything you need it to do, without spending 3K or more. Field of view, red dot, reticle, and solidity all work together to handle most any situation that comes up, although I wouldn't put it on a 10.4" rifle. Perfect for the 5.56 carbine use. You won't regret getting one.

There's not much to add about the Razor 1-6x that hasn't been said already, it's super clear optics, solid adjustments and red dot fast on the 1x. It is a true 1x but there's a catch to that in my experience and here's what I found. The scope is 1x until you get to just a few feet in front of the muzzle. So, from point blank to about 5-6 feet in front of the scope it seems to be about 1.5x or maybe a bit greater but at that distance it doesn't really matter. I've 'played' around pulling up and aiming thru the house as well as the woods and it really is 1x at most distances outside that extreme CQB-point blank range and is absolutely 'red dot' fast especially with the reticle illuminated. I have seen some You Tube videos saying that it isn't a true 1x but I can attest that again, it is 1x all the way up to a few feet from the muzzle. Speaking of the scopes magnification, the 6x is so crisp that it seems to be more usable than some 9x, 12x and greater magnified scopes that I have used so that makes it a great hunting optic as well as a tactical home/self defense toll. All in all it really is a great optic and I think it just may be on of the few if not the only scope(s that equals its price tag out there. Best bang per buck. Lastly, it does have a big booty so as one can read most anywhere the Razor 1-6x does come with some added weight but it's too bad.

I bought this LPVO for my patrol rifle and it has all the features I need. The illuminated reticle is daylight bright and the 1-6x magnification gives me the ability to ID what I’m viewing and the utility to reach out and touch something if need be. Glass is crystal clear and the turrets adjust with an audible click. Best scope I’ve had, and you can’t beat the Vortex warranty.

I bought the scope about a month to replace a non "e" version of the scope that had the jm-1 reticle. I went with the mrad reticle this time for more versatility. This optic is the best all round LPVO that balances quality and value. The optic is built bomb proof, but it is nice that it comes with a no questions VIP warranty.

This scope has the clearest glass and truest 1x out of any, including Leupold, Burris, Steiner, EOTech, and Trijicon. You can shoot close quarters or out to 500m with ease. The Razor 1-6 has amazing clarity, is bright, and easy to see. I am quickly able to engage targets out to 600 yards, and is a great option on 11.5 and 14.5 55.6 rifles

I've been using vortex scopes and red dots for a while now. They have never let me down even during autumn or winter time here in finland when the variating temperatures and humidity can be really tough and demanding especially to your optics. First they are wet and after few hours theyre frozen solid. These bad boys still keep on going. Fog is always a great consern here too but havent had any issues with that either. I have had the non-E version for a while now and decided to buy this lighter version too for my new 3gun AR project. Lens brightness and clarity is something to fall in love with everytime you look through this scope. The view is insanely crisp. Windage and elevation can easily and accurately be adjusted with large posts. Finishing, quality and color on these razor scopes are superb as well. If i really have to dig something "bad" to say about these scopes is that the variable dial is waaay too tight for fast zoom changing and the switchview throw lever should be accompanied with these scopes. Always buy one with these. If youre looking to buy a variable in this prize category, look no further. You wont be disappointed.

I shouldn't have waited so long to purchase. Clear, bright glass with color that "pops", bright illuminated dot, near-1X performance, excellent build quality with beautiful anodized finish, positive turret clicks, simple and effective reticle (VMR-2 MRAD). The weight reduction of the "E" model means the scope isn't perceptively heavier than using a larger red dot (replaced and Aimpoint CompM4s) when mounted on a lightweight carbine.

My first 3Gun match I had a scope that lost zero. Luckily, there was a Vortex Sponsored Shooter on my squad that let me borrow their back up rifle topped with this scope. I knew that my next optic purchase would be from Vortex. I just bought this recently and paired it with my mauser 66s in caliber 7x64. Going to use it on driven hunts for moose and wildboar, and so far I am really impressed with this scope. Quick and easy to find the sightline, and it just works in every scenario I've tested it in. Thumbs up

This thing is great. Even though my old strike eagle is nice, you can feel the difference in quality. The optics I'd say are probably 20-30% more clear than the strike eagle. The best part though, is both eyes can be open at any magnification! The red dot is crystal clear and basically functions as a normal red dot, it's that good. Only gripes would be weight, and no lens covers.. It's built like a tank though, so if you're going into a warzone you could probably take this with you. Still 5 stars though, better than any scope I've seen.

I didn't really understand how different glass could affect my ability to shoot. I was using a lower-priced optic from another company and was always happy with it, right up until I was shooting into shadows from an poor shooting position. Suddenly I understood how poor the eye relief on that scope was. How poor the glass was - I was literally unable to make out the target (steel spinner at 50 yards in deep shadows in the woods). Later a friend took me back to that target. It was darker than before. I sighted through the Razor and had no problems at all finding the target. The glass on this optic is simply superb. The fit and finish are great. Love the reticle, the illumination being only the fine red dot makes for perfect short range engagements. You need to see this to believe it and once you shoot with one you won't want anything less - I know I don't!
