This scope is my go to for any number of activities out in the country. I've run it in carbine classes and shot at coyotes at 1000 yards with it. Cant quite put into words how valuable good glass clarity really is in so many different situations. I'm convinced I would rather have high end glass at a 6 power than mid grade at 12-16. I've done things at 6 power that I just cant out of others. Very please with this optic.

Yet cheaper than competition Vortex 1-6 HD Razor was a 1400 USD investment which for me is a lot. But after 1 year I can say that it was money well spend. 1-6 power is more than enough up to 300 meters range and in capable hands useful up to 500 meters, providing crystal clear view. At closer ranges 1 power provides almost red dot like usability. 0.5 moa illuminated dot allows very precise shooting even if you have submoa rifle. VIP warranty provides peace of mind. I only wished Vortex would provide black color option.

I've had this scope on my 3 gun rifle for the last few years with zero issue. Glass clarity, field of view and construction are all top notch. I even packed it with clay and mud at a match, sent it to vortex to clean the gunk out of the turrets and had back the next week looking brand new with no questions asked. Vortex is a YUUUGE supporter of the shooting sports and their sponsored shooters are a true asset to the shooting community. With products and customer service that sets the bar for the industry, there is no reason to go with any other manufacturer. There is a reason that a large number of rifles in the 3 gun world are equipped with this scope. They have a proven and verifiable track record of being the best option out there. You can't go wrong with Vortex scopes regardless of what series you end up with. These are just a few reasons I will be a customer for life.

Alright guys, I put this optic through the worst on the optic killer (Scar 17). The reciprocating charging handle after 2,500 rounds was a joke on the Razor, not only did I not lose zero, there was no issues within the optic. As for weather, the glass did not fog in Alabama humidity, also the coating did not crack. If you’re looking for a cqb and a shout out to distance snag this optic now, knowing you’ll have it for life.

I have been using the Razor HD gen II since 2014 for my Tac Ops 3 gun rifle and this is the best scope for the game. There is a reason all the top shooters are using it. There are so many features to this scope that make it the best: -Daylight visible red dot -jm-1 bdc reticle -easy 1-6 adjustment -capped turrets - huge eye box with a beautiful 1x -a crisp and clear 6x -built like a tank with good looks -Vortex support and warranty! Overall i have loved this scope and there has been nothing on the market to even make me think of changing (other than the new E version!) I finally bit the proverbial bullet after lusting for this scope for forever. I have been blown away by the features and so glad I bought it. I sighted it in the day I bought in very few clicks. Clear glass that with a huge field of view that I have never seen. Thank you guys for everything you do.

I finally found what I was looking for in the Razor HD. (precision cross hairs for distance shooting and low magnification to retain close quarter functionality) This was the 3rd optic I tried on my 5.56 and it is there to stay! The other optics I tried did not have the precise MOA (.5) cross hair that the Razor has. I tried a battle proven Leupold Mark iv 1x3 Cq/t Red Dot which I love and moved to another rifle. I also tried the VCOG that turned out to be no where near my expectation. The Razor far exceeded my expectations and has made me a happy camper!! The quality and clarity of the Razor HD is amazing. I also purchased the Vortex QD mount and rings for a perfect fit and finish! I could not be happier! Awesome product Vortex !!

I have the Razor HD 1-26x24 on my 3 Gun 5.56. It's ideal at the common distances for this discipline. I installed the quick change lever and cant bubble on it and they make it even better. Fellow competitors have borrowed it and really liked it. Another great Vortex product!

I've had this scope about two years now. The field of view is unbeatable, at 1x you can barely see the body of the scope. 6x is super clear and the reticle is easily daylight bright. I use this scope for 3gun and carbine matches, and this has been slammed around dump barrels, hit against door ways, even dropped once. Always held zero and never had a problem. The only downside is its weight. It is a tank but I feel that is expected for this quality glass. This scope is a lot of $$, but you wont be disappointed with your purchase.

I purchased this scope for 3-Gun competition. It is one of the best purchases I have made. The glass is clear from edge to edge, even on the highest magnification. I definitely recommend this scope for anyone looking for a scope for tac-ops.

I use on a Wilson Combat SPR and is hands down the best optic I've ever had on any firearm let alone my AR's. I have three AR's and every time I'm using a different one I miss the Razor HD Gen II. I was using it while conducting a training course and a contractor I had hired said it was the same optic he had used in the military and he came from Army Special Operations. If the very top specials ops guys are using you can be assured you will also be very impressed.

I've been running this scope for the past two years. In that time I've shot over 40 3-gun matches and have taken it hunting several times. The optic has been dropped, thrown, fallen off a tailgate, and still maintains zero. I had SL Gunworks coat the tube to match my rifle and it still is the same high quality optic as before.

I put the Razor HD Gen II 1-6 on my SCAR 17, which are known to be tough on optics. The Razor is tough and can easily handle the recoil of the 7.62X51MM. The glass is clear and is great in low light. The red dot is is perfect at 1X for both eyes open shooting like a red dot. The JM-1 reticle is VERY easy to use, especially in conjunction with the LRBC. I hope Vortex adds the JM-1 reticle on other optics in its line.

I used this optic throughout training and deployment as a Navy SEAL. As a SEAL and a gun nerd, I wanted the single best optic that could do the Job of a 1x optic in the CQC environment and accurately hit targets at distance. From the shooters perspective the 1x has a crystal clear field of view that is outlined by a think ring of metal. Providing you the situational awareness that other scopes lack. I prefer this scope over the famed ELCAN. It is build like a tank. I lost the elevation cap on target and Vortex's costumer service quickly shipped a replacement out. I recommend this scope to anyone who asks.

I have the 1-6x24 and wow, super clear. Great looking scope, great warranty. I left the red dot on for about 2 weeks in high and didn’t seem to affect the brightness at all.

Have had this for 4 months now and is hands down the easiest and most clear scope I’ve owned. All I have to do now is save up one for my long gun. The adjustable dot brightness is unreal along with the perfect reticle for my 5.56

After owning several other high-dollar scopes, I ended up with the Razor HD GEN ii 1-6 with the JM-1 reticle. This scope creates a perfect balance between optical clarity, field of view, and a usable reticle. Much like most recreational shooters, 3-gun competitors don't typically dial their DOPE to get hits at extended distances. The JM-1 Reticle does a great job providing hold-over points that correspond to POI down range. On the other hand, 3-gun competitors need a scope with true 1x capability with excellent field of view in order to quickly engage targets from 0-50 yards as well. This optic does the job very well. Pared with the VIP warranty, you can rest assured that the optic will provide excellent performance while maintaining it's value for many years.

I’m an avid 3 gunner and have had my Razor for 2.5 years. In that time, I’ve slammed, dropped, scuffed, scratched and just generally abused this scope on the regular. I honestly have no regard for its safety. I have never once had it shift zero on me as a result of said abuse. It’s an absolute tank of a scope with the clearest sight picture of any scope I’ve ever owned. I’m a fan. I’m looking to add another to my lineup

I purchased this as my first high end scope for an spr. This is the best glass I have ever seen. It’s built like a tank with great eye relief. I feel in love with it I purchased another for my mk18. This is one of the best upgrades you can do to your rifle

I have this scope on a home defense carbine. It is super clear with accurate adjustments however would prefer 1/4 moa adjustments. Brightness adjustment is super simple to use. Pick your preferred brightness level and keep it on the off position next to. I recommend a switchview for the magnification ring as it is rather stiff.

I bought this scope with the MRAD reticle for a precision AR setup because of its reputation and use by SOCOM. The glass is very clear and has a large field of view. The ability to turn on illumination and lock it out is nice but would have liked the locking to index smoother into the locked position. Also would have been nice to have a "built-in" throw lever as that is hard to turn without it. This does what I want and need and I am happy with it.

I used the HD2 1-6 optic for multiple combat deployments and training "work-up" cycles. During my troop's CQC training block I was able to compare the optic against the standard issue Holographic sight. While shooting the standard high/low ready my time compared to my troops was negligible, quick target engagement was equal. The benefits that come with a variable power optic far out weight the minimal time advantages from the holographic sight. Low power (1-6/8) variable optics should become the standard issue for all troops, the durability, reliability, and versatility of the optic are the individuals' best option for the "One Optic to Rule them all!!!" 80% of the time the "Jack of all triads" type optic is better than a master of one. I love my Razor HD Gen I 1-6. It’s perfect for hunting in the timber on my AR 10 in the mountains of Wyoming. On 1X I feel confident to engage a charging grizzly bear if need be and at 6X with its awsome clarity slip a round through a tight opening on an elk. And when it’s time to give it up you can pass this scope on to your kids and grandkids. It’s my favorite scope, I even choose it over my Leupold. U won’t regret buying this optic. Good Hunting!
