I have this scope mounted on a Savage Elite 300 PRC with a 11? can from Rebel silencers (out of busyness sort of). The 30? barrel has a 8.5 twist. It is not found of the Hornady 212 gr ELD-X but the 225gr ELD-M 230gr and 250gr A-Tips are a 6.3 Mil holdover at 914 meters on a 7? steel chicken. Even in 15 mile an hour wind chicken does not stand a chance. This optic is a tac driving machine. On Oct 30 I shot a cow Buffalo at 197 m right behind the left ear with 20 mph wind from left .3 mil hold and no hold over for hight. Drop like a ton of bricks. One hour later I shot a bull elk 410 rack at 217 m high double lung low spine. Bull did not flinch walked around in a circle to about fifteen feet walk and all four legs went up. The clarity of this glass is second to none. If I had a no wind condition or wind at 180 or 0 I could of easily taken either at 914 meters. My goal is UT 2000 meters milk jug challenge. The rifle, ammo and scope are beyond capable. The only draw back is the weight of the rig. But there is no recoil. I have ordered a second scope and another Savage Long Rang Hunter from Savage and rig will weigh about 12lbs. Still a bit heavy for mountain work but if you want long range precision shooting this is the only way to go for this old hunter. Check out Rocky Mountain Elk Ranch is south east Idaho. Great guide and hunt.

One of my top favorite scopes for PRS shooting clear Optics crisp turrets I love the EBR 7c moa reticle!!! I would get one for my nrl22 rifle but the parallax only adjusts down to 32 yd. I know the 18 power version focuses down closer but I want more magnification than 18 power. How about a newer version with parallax down to 15 yd and has a high-end magnification of 30????

I bought this scope for my sniper rifle, and I'm blown away by the clarity, features, and precision. I've used many scopes in my life and for the money this is by far the best scope out there.

After months of saving up for premium glass and way to much online research I kept coming back to the Vortex Razor HD. I took the chance on it and I'll tell you with 100% honesty I couldn't have made a better choice. I mounted this scope on my Ruger Hawkeye Long Range target rifle in 6.5cm with the Vortex precision matched rings. It's a literal tack driver. This scope has completely changed my confidence when it comes to long range accuracy. The glass is crystal clear at any distance and the adjustment are so crisp that it's oddly satisfying. Yeah it's a heavy optic but that just tells me it actually built with reliable materiels. I was so happy with my Razor HD that I purchased another with the same Vortex precision matched rings for my Bushmaster BA50. For anyone who is wondering how well it performs on a 50bmg, don't even doubt this scope. I have had my BA50 stay perfectly zeroed without any corrections for just over a year now with more rounds through it than I care to count. Vortex has truly gained my trust and I plan on keeping the Vortex name on any firearm I need optics for.

I purchased my Vortex Razor GEN II with the EBR-7C MRAD reticle for my new precision hunter build. The eye relief is exceptional and glass is perfect. It is definitely on the heavy side and you will notice it, but there is nothing out there that will give you this quality for the price. I love the turrets and illumination. If you are not worried about weight, you will not be disappointed. Hopefully Vortex will add to their AMG line to include more magnification ranges at a lighter weight, but until then I am very pleased with this scope.

This scope has great clarity, tracks accurately, and is reliable. Really enjoy the crisp and audible turret adjustments. Easy to zero and set the zero stop. I have one in MOA and now that I am planning on competing soon in PRS also looking at getting one in MILS with the Tremor 3 reticle. These are not a cheap scope but are well worth the value. Plus if you ever have any issues then you are covered under the VIP warranty.

Scope came in a very nice box. Compared to other more expensive scopes this crushes them all. Turrets are very tactile and precise, glass clarity is extremely good. Optics passed a tracking test at 100m no problem. If I had to find something wrong with the scope it would be the weight. But for my application of shooting long range and PRS style shooting weight did not matter.

Having bought a Razor Gen II-e 1-6x earlier this year for my AR, I decided to give the 4.5-27x56 w/ Tremor 3 Reticle a try for my bolt gun. All is can say is I?m blown away. This has been my first year shooting regularly in the past decade and the Razor?s have made it seem almost too easy. I?d never shot further than 200 yards until this and just last weekend I impacted steel at 1084 yards on my second pull of the trigger! I was honestly in awe. The clarity of the optic in conjunction with the amazing reticle allowed me to see my first miss, measure the distance off in mils, make adjustments with the easy to use locking turrets, and then hit steel on my follow up shot. I assure you I?m a true beginner. This optic just makes things easy. Give it a try, spend a few hours on YouTube researching how to make the most of it and you?ll truly be in love.

I've been dreaming of owning a top shelf optic for a while now but good glass is definitely not cheap. When I finally got my Ruger Hawkeye Long-range target rifle in 6.5cm I knew it wouldn't be complet until I got the right scope for it. After months of research and advice from some friends I finally select this Vortex Razor HD Gen 2. Let me tell you something about this scope... It literally perfect to put it very simply. The glass is crystal clear, the illuminated reticle is a nice bonus and adjusting the turrets is oddly satisfying. This scope is so good I literally bought another identical one for my Bushmaster BA50. Yes this scope is perfect for a 50bmg rifle. I am truly a believer in Vortex optics and knowing my gear is covered by their lifetime warranty is a major plus. The only glass that belongs on my future rifles will be from Vortex.

I purchased my Vortex scope to put on a DD5V5 6.5 Creedmoor because I wanted to be able to confidently shoot out to 500 yards. The scope was easy to setup and get zeroed at 100 yards. I was able to dial in my MRAD bullet drops from a ballistics calculator and hit targets out to 500 yards with no issues. I have the EBR-7C reticle and found it easy to use to correct for wind. The parallax adjustment works well. The glass is clear and the eye relief is adequate for my setup. I liked the scope so well I purchased a second identical scope to put on my JP LRI-20 308 Win. It works just as good as the first scope and I'm shooting consistently out to 500 yards. I have yet to hunt with either gun at this time.

I received this scope last week, I was absolutely amazed, it is built like a tank! I have never in my life seen such build quality in a scope, beautiful clicks of adjustment, crystal clear glass and amazing reticle. Thankyou. I cannot wait to expand my Vortex collection

I looked at various scopes, Nightforce, Leupold, etc. The Vortex offered me everything I was looking for and more. I've mounted this on my accuracy international AXMC. Zeroed it at 25 yards shooting 6.5 prc. Immediately shot head shots at 200 on steel men, then reached out to 600 - dead on! I opted for the 7c reticle and couldn't be happier. Very well made high quality scope. This is my 3rd vortex, have a razor holographic, 1x6 strike eagle, and now this one. Great scopes and a good price along with the no BS vortex warranty makes this an easy choice!

I recently purchased two of the Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56 Optics, one in H59, the other in Tremor3. The glass is crystal clear, even at 27x magnification. The adjustments are precise and Marine proof. Working with a wide variety of optics from several manufacturers, I found this optic to be quite intuitive (zeroing, zero stop, etc.). I run Vortex Razor HD optics on a variety of platforms and calibers, never have I found them to be lacking. All in all, I am very please with the optics and have zero complaints. The only suggestion I would make is to include lens caps and a bubble level as part of the package.

Extremely Heavy!!! But man is it worth it. You can feel the quality on every piece of this scope. Feature rich and tracks consistently. Shot out to 1760 yards and back to zero without any issue. Also, the color looks incredible. Glass and scope itself.

I’ve been competing in local PRS club matches for two years now and have been using my Vortex Razor Gen 2 optic. Not only is it built tough to handle the rigors if competition, but it holds zero, dials accurately and provides an amazing sight picture every time I look through it.

I started PRS with the EBR-2C reticle, and have since purchased a second with the EBR-7C with 0.2 mil graduations. Both are excellent reticles, with solid and precise clicks, that tracks true, and cuts through mirage just as well as other much more expensive models that have less warranty coverage. Compared side by side, this scope takes the cake.

I bought mine over a year ago and have not been disappointed since. I mounted mine on a Ruger Precision Rifle chambered in the 6.5 Creedmor. What a match made in heaven. Dependable durability backed with the Vortex lifetime warranty. 1000 yards is nothing. Think farther with this scope.

After looking at many high end brands with every feature one could imagine, I opted for the 4.5-27x56 Razor HD Gen II. Sure you can find one thing you like about another scope better but when it comes to a complete rifle scope for the dollar, it’s hard to find another scope on the market that compares. With the new reticle options and pricing just get one and don’t look back.

I have owned this optic for 7 months, the concept for specifications and reticle options are exactly what I was hoping someone would manufacture. This products performance is as advertised and has lead me to start the long process of replacing my other optics with the Razor family.

This is by far the most common scope I see at local PRS matches and for good reason. I picked up a Razor after reading the precision rifle blog article on what the pros use about 2 years ago. Clarity is fantastic, the turrets are amazing, parallax is spot on, and the zero stop and zero system are super easy to set up and dial in for a super precise zero. The only potential negative is the weight, but for a PRS rifle it’s exactly what you want anyway. For my next precision build, Vortex Razor HD is definitely my first choice

This scope is built like a tank weighing in almost a pound heavier than its competitors. Everything feels great and substantial. While I thought the EBR2C was 'good', it was lacking in a few areas that steered me away from it. Namely, the missing .2 subs on the main bar and a floating dot. I prefer having a site reference in the center of the reticle vs the open view of the 2c. The 7c fixed all that and I'm now a REALLY happy user! In PRS and other field conditions; time, positioning, and movement are pillars of the sport. With that, I tend to be a little hard on my gear. Knowing that Vortex has my back with their excellent warranty sets my mind at ease. I have no reservations putting these on all my rifles...in fact, I plan to do just that!

I bought this scope a few weeks ago with the EBR-7C MRAD reticle for a new 50 BMG application. After gathering some velocity data and setting up a 100 yard zero it was time to push out to 1000 yards. Thanks to good tracking and the 0.2 MRAD spacing, it was possible to make accurate corrections and connect with the center of the target in 3 rounds, allowing me to start honing in on a more accurate BC. So far the scope has held up to the 50 BMG recoil with no issue. I'm looking forward to a mile and beyond. The glass certainly won't be the limiting factor. Considering the new reduced pricing on this scope - it should be on your shortlist.

I bought this almost a year ago to go on my 338lm. The scope is literally built like a tank! It is pretty heavy but that doesn't bother me at all. Turrets are very affirmative and tactile. Only issue I found was getting a set of tall enough rings.

I've shot this optic for now 3 years and it's a solid piece of glass. It's so solid that for me it's my reference choice and I'm considering buying a second one for my trainer. Now with the added choice of reticule their is nothing that would make me think about another brand. Tracking is #1, turret feel solid with audible clicks, scope is rock solid and heavy (something I like), color is superb, optics is clear and crisp with no CA and great contrast. To me the best feature is the zeroing. It's unlimited, you don't have to be "on" a click. You need 0.03 mil to zero, just dial it. My only wish is that the scope would include lens and objective caps and level just like the original Razor.

Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27X56 FFP Mule proof!

In 2017 I completed my custom rifle (300 Win Mag) build that I had been anxiously waiting form my gun smith to complete. I spared no expense in the gun parts and this gun would be the work horse that would be taking my ability to the next level I knew the only way to get the full capability’s out of this rifle would be to equip it with a scope that had precision and durability after looking at my options I chose the Gen II Razor 4.5-27 to be the back bone of my rifle now three years later I ...

The Vortex Optics Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56 Riflescope with EBR-2C MOA Reticle combines a high-transmission lens system and weather-sealed 34mm main-tube to create a versatile optic for mid to long-range targeting. Vortex Optics uses an apochromatic objective lens and optically indexed Extra-low Dispersion (HD) glass elements to maximize the light gathering ability of the optics while minimizing chromatic aberration and preserving clarity. The resulting images are bright and sharp throughout the zoom range.
This Razor HD scope is configured with a EBR-2C MOA reticle in the second focal plane (SFP). The EBR-2C MOA pattern is an illuminated duplex-style variant with medium-weight posts at three, six and nine o'clock that taper to a fine crosshair. Stadia lines on the horizontal and vertical crosshairs aid in ranging, calculating hold-over and ballistic-drop compensation. The reticle illumination is controlled using a click-stop wheel on the side focus turret. The illuminator has eleven brightness settings and an Off position between each setting allows the shooter to quickly return to their previously-used level of illumination without cycling through other settings.
The scope main-tube is machined from a single piece of aluminum, anodized with a corrosion-resistant matte-black finish and filled with argon gas to ensure fogproof and waterproof performance. Exposed lens surfaces are protected with Vortex Optics's proprietary ArmorTek scratch-resistant coating that also repels moisture and dirt.
