For the price the glass quality is exceptional. Used mostly for target shooting. Overall it is a great budget option.

Picked this up to put on my daughter's Ruger Precision Rimfire 22lr. She wanted to learn to shoot a rifle, so I figured this would be a great scope to get her started and would not out grow anytime soon. I purchased it during a flash sale when it was 50%, and it is well worth the money. The glass is really clear and easy to see the reticle. The reticle makes for easy elevation and windage adjustments without having to mess with the turrets. I like that it has locking turrets, and in order to make adjustments to elevation and windage, you have to pull up/out on the turrets. No accidental adjustments. We have taken it out to 300 yds and it does well. This is a great beginner/intermediate scope. And of course Vortex's lifetime warranty puts my mind at ease knowing that this investment will always be protected.

This scope absolutely blew me away. For the price, its features, adjustability, clarity, and overall quality are second to none-it truly competes with optics far outside its price range. I initially bought it for a 6. 5 Creedmoor build, but I ended up putting it on my trusty old . 30-06, and its performance has been fantastic. This is an awesome scope that won't leave you wishing you'd gotten something "better. " While the **Viper** and **Razor** lines offer superior glass and more advanced features, if those aren't in your budget, you'll be more than happy with this one. If you don't need features like locking turrets or an illuminated reticle, the **Venom** is also an excellent choice. My primary hunting partner uses the Venom on all of his kids' hunting rifles, and we've had many successful hunts with it.

I've tried about a dozen scopes of with similar specs. There is nothing for under $1000 that even comes close from my experience. If your budget minded and wish to reach out long range you won't find better.

I have this on a 6. 5 Creedmoor. I have friends with $2,000 optics and I can still shoot with them easily out to 1,000 yards. You can easily spend more, but you won't find a better value.

Optic is also very heavy. Primary Arms has a version that offers better clarity and is much lighter (and illuminated) for under $400.

Used this scope on a savage 220 shot gun and it works perfect. Great zoom and clarity.

Definitely heavier than the 1-6, but the extra magnification makes a world of difference for longer shots. Glass is incredibly clear, all the way to the edge of the field of view. Never disappointed with Vortex Optics.

Scope works as it should and looks great. Holds zero on my 300 win mag with ease. Turrets move nice and it's a good alternate option to the viper pst gen 2.

I would recommend this scope if this is your first time shooting long distance. I set this scope up on my Bergara B-14 HMR in . 308 win and this is my introduction to long distance shooting. So far I have used this scope at 100-300 yards and I'm happy with it for a beginner like myself. I know there's better rifle scopes like NightForce but for now just getting started in long distance shooting this rifle scope from Vortex is easy to use and love the warranty that Vortex offers.

When helping new shooters build a RIMFIRE rifle that is affordable and can perform at long and short yardages, I highly recommend the Strike Eagle 5-25x56. It has the ability, with a 40 or 50 MOA scope base without the Rev-Stop, to perform at short (15 yards) AND long yardages (out to 450 yards), with turrets that are reasonably tactile, glass that is decent at this price point and has a reticle that is very easy to read.

Great scope for the price, works great. Very big so keep that in mind.

Very good scope glass very clear. Mounted on my Ruger RPR and have made some sub MOA groups with it using some of my reloads. I would recommend to remember to turn off the illumination reticule because it will die very fast. I would also say it isn't day light bright but rarely used/tested it. Would definitely recommend to anyone that's wanting to get a scope that doesn't break the bank and has good quality and warranty.

Great product. Relatively no issues for the 3 years I've owned it, other than the flip caps won't stay on snug.

If you're hunting or shooting on the range, this scope does it all. I can hit targets out to 725 yards consistently using this scope on my AR. My one gripe is that the scope covers easily fall off.

This scope blew me away, the features, adjustablity, clarity and quality for the price is second to none! This scope competes with others way outside its price range. I bought it for my 6. 5creedmore hunting rifle and due to some life events didn't get to go on that hunt and ended up putting it on my custom precision . 22LR for precision tactical shooting and I couldn't be happier. This scope is awesome and will not leave you haning or wishing you got something "better". While the Viper and Razor line offers better glass and features, if you can't afford that you wont be upset with this scope at all. If you don't need the locking turrets or lit reticle the Venom is also a great option in my personal experience (my primary hunting partner has the venom on all his kids hunting rifles and we have plenty of time and harvests behind that scope).

It's built tough-I've had zero issues even after heavy use on . 300?BLK and 5. 56 rifles. And Vortex's VIP lifetime warranty gives peace of mind. If you're looking for a first LPVO or a dependable mid-priced optic, the Strike Eagle is hard to beat.

The dial stops on this unit has been flawless and the clarity is pretty incredible, especially considering the price point. I use this on my . 308 and 6. 5cm rifles in a gamut of training locations, the glass is clear enough to push out to over 1k yards with ease. Well done Vortex.

It is an excellent addition to the AR. It maintains accuracy with rough use and is great for quick throws on magnification. The only grip is how easily the throw lever unscrews from the scope and is in danger of falling out. The scope is excellent for entry-level rifles not looking to spend too much on a good scope. There are some discrepancies in the uniformity of the stenciled reticle, but you have to look for it.

Just recently added this scope onto my AR10, awesome optics can't wait to get out and shoot it. Price and warranty and previous ownership of 5 other vortex scopes has me staying with what works.

Just got mine and shoved it into my Blaser R8 chambered in 30-06, those optics are exactly like Zeiss minus the price! Will continue with vortex!

It arrived today; unboxed and could not be more pleased. Next step will be mounting on the M1A Archangel. I will follow up this initial review after sight in and range time.
Over the horizon, your target awaits, and the Vortex Optics 5-25x56 Strike Eagle Riflescope is the precision instrument designed to bring it into clear focus. This high-quality optic is engineered for the serious long-range shooter, offering a suite of advanced features that set it apart in the field.
At the heart of the Strike Eagle's performance lies the illuminated first focal plane EBR-7C MOA reticle, providing fast and accurate reads under any magnification and lighting conditions. The reticle's scale remains in proportion to the zoomed image, ensuring constant subtensions for precise holdover and ranging across the entire 5-25x magnification range.
The scope's XD lens elements boast extra-low dispersion glass, enhancing resolution and color fidelity for images that are crisp and sharp to the edges. Coupled with a fully multi-coated lens system, the Strike Eagle maximizes light transmission, reducing glare and reflections with proprietary anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces.
Durability is a cornerstone of the Strike Eagle's design. The glass-etched reticle is secured between two layers of glass, ensuring reliability and protection from the elements. The ArmorTek coating on the exterior lenses resists scratches, oil, and dirt, while the aircraft-grade aluminum construction provides a robust frame that is both shockproof and waterproof. O-ring seals and nitrogen gas purging deliver fogproof performance, maintaining clarity in all weather conditions.
The 34mm tube diameter is not just for show; it allows for an expansive range of elevation and windage travel, accommodating the most challenging long-range shots. A side parallax focus knob is conveniently located for easy access, allowing for quick image focus and parallax removal without breaking your shooting stance.
Tactical locking turrets with an integrated locking mechanism prevent inadvertent adjustments, while the RevStop Zero System ensures a solid return to zero after dialing in. The fast focus eyepiece and the included throw lever facilitate rapid magnification changes, keeping you on target with minimal disruption.
The matte anodized finish provides a low-glare surface that resists corrosion and wear, helping to camouflage the shooter's position. Whether you're hunting or engaging in precision target shooting, the Vortex Optics 5-25x56 Strike Eagle Riflescope is a reliable, innovative, and advanced tool that will elevate your shooting experience to new heights.
