Perfect monocular for hiking and backpacking. Light weight and packs away easily. For the many times when you need to identify something out of eyesight. Also would be great for viewing wildlife or hunting.

It is compact, lightweight, and very useful. I had 0 issues with clarity or focus. Cannot be beat for 50 bucks. The nylon pouch it comes with is ok for storage but it's very puffy and large for backpack use. The focus dial is stiff but eye relief is easy enough. New addition to my hunting / camping bag

It is exactly what it is advertised as. Took it hunting with my kids much easier to quickly use than binoculars. Stored it in pocket, easy to get to. For the price wasn't worried about damaging or hurting it. Was a very handy and capable piece of gear for hunting. Easy for anyone to find a use for it as the extra magnification is nice.

This is a nice and compact tool for easy storage in the work car. I used this in my car when my eyes get bad at night. It was easy to get to when I opened the case it came in. The lens was very clear and worked well. It's great for beginners or experts alike because it is easy to use.

Keep this on my patrol seat bag. Good for quick access. Not the best clarity, but works in a pinch and doesn't take up a lot of room in my car

I picked this up to reduce weight and bulk during turkey season. This is a great alternative to lugging around full size binoculars. It was just to much so these work great. they fit well into near all pockets in my turkey vest. Highly recommend as a clear and quality alternative to full size binoculars.

I got this monocular early spring 2020. The thing is great. Compared to everything else I?ve tried it?s the same or better at a better price! I love vortex, I?m kind of a fanboy but the best part of any of their products is the warranty! Had a miner problem just some glue came unstuck sent it in and during the inspection they found a few issues, fixed them without even asking me and had it back to me in under a week.. I?m not saying this is a bad product. But even if this product was inferior and trust me it?s not! The warranty will keep me coming back every time I need anything they sell!,

I recieved my Solo about 4 years ago, but I haven't used it for"normal" outdoor activities much at all. I bring it with me on the farm, in the pickup or on the tractor. It's small enough to ride in a cargo pocket and is rugged enough that I've had no problems with it. The glass is extremely clear(especially for the price, but the FOV is fairly tight(makes sense with the relatively small size and highish magnification) . My only regret is that I didn't step up to buy one with a ranging reticle.

The optical quality is good for the price. I have the 10x25mm and it is very compact and light. The best gear is the gear you can carry with you anywhere and that is why I got the solo. I can put it in my pocket for walks so I can bird or view wildlife, or take it hunting or hiking with ease. The thing I do not like about it is the inability to put lens caps on the front lens. If I could have lens caps to protect the lenses I could simply pocket the monocular and not have to use the bulky case to protect the lenses. If I could add lens caps this would be the ideal piece of field gear!

I’m an LEO/ SWAT Team member and I have purchased a couple of these for work. I carry one in my duty bag for patrol. The other one I carry in a small pouch on my tac vest. The solo is perfect for those times you can’t afford to carry a traditional set of binoculars.

I bought this for my mother, and have used it with her. She goes on daily hikes and wanted something small and lightweight that she could use to get a closer look at wildlife on the other side of the canyon. This has been perfect for her! Never thought I would like a monocular, but this has been surprisingly nice.

This optic is incredible for hunting, hiking, and military operations! I use this as a pocket tool when I am not trying to get to close or to gain insight into a particular detail when in the wilderness and working.

I bought this monocular because of the price. I found it online for less than $60. I can throw it in the truck and not worry about wrecking a set of expensive binoculars. I’ve seen it happen in the farm trucks and I’m not about that life haha. This can spot ear tag numbers just fine. It’s small and compact enough I can throw it around my neck while horseback to spot cows and/or other critters without being cumbersome. Want decent and surprisingly clear magnification in a small package for cheap? This will do the job.

I am a cable repair lineman for a huge phone company, sometimes you want to take a closer look at the lines without yawing a ladder or bucket, the Vortex Solo helps me inspect the area without having to leave the ground. I also look for potential hazards before going aloft. I originally bought the Solo for my upcoming Alaskan cruise in Sept.2018. I wanted something I could have in my pocket or on a lanyard at all times on the ship. You never know what will be swimming along side of the ship. I wanted a small (fit in my pocket) scope for viewing live shows at our local historic theaters. These fit the bill perfectly and are of much better quality than normal theater glasses. I'm quite happy but lens caps would have been nice.
