What a great scope. It can really reach out and the glass is crystal clear out to the edges. Comes with all the right stuff. Thank you Vortex

This scope has been nothing short of quality the way is should be! My kids and I have all been successful in dialing this beast. It is definitely made the longe range shooting experience more enjoyable. We shoot 1000 and beyond, all 6 of us using this incredible piece of precision!

Great scope. I use it for mid-range F class shooting. Very clear, love the reticle, easy to focus, and the turrets have a nice crisp click when adjusting. I only wish it had a zero stop.

I hope that when they get around to updating this scope that they add a zero stop. I would also like first focal plane and milliradian options along with more elevation availability. I admit that I am looking for the "one" scope. I use this scope for rimfire benchrest and F-class. I have a nice rifle built by DI Precision that will do it all in rimfire, now I want a Vortex scope that will also.

The Golden Eagle is a very good scope . I have two now. very clear . I no longer need a spotting scope to see my 6.5 creedmoor holes at 300 yards. I also have 4 Viper PA's . Vortex scopes are a very good value for the money.

Great scope but the choice of reticles is extremely limited its one or the other that's it

Love the scope so far except for the very tight eye box. I spend to much time trying to get a full picture at any mag. Very frustrating having a 60 power scope that you spend most of your time looking at a vlack hole.

I?ve had the scope for 2 years now and have nothing negative to say about it, the most important part of any long range scope is its ability to hold point of impact which this one does well. The floating dot reticle with moa marks is the best in my opinion when it gets a little crazy down range.

I own two of these scopes. I love the raticale and find it very easy to locate and place my shots. Optics are as good as much more expensive scopes. I use it many days on full 60X magnification and clarity is fantastic. Turrets are precise and return to zero without a flaw. I have shot many great scores with these scopes in F Class using my .223 and 308 that I built. Can't go wrong if you buy this scope

I have this mounted on a Ruger Precision 6.5 Creedmor and the clarity is outstanding on this scope. I shoot 600 yards and don't even need to use a spotting scope when using this rifle. Outstanding value for the money compared to others and NOTHING beats the Lifetime warranty. Lost a battery cover for an older Strikefire and they replaced it immediately free of charge, no questions asked. Vortex has a lifetime customer.

I bought this scope over two years ago and I have really tested it all weather conditions. I would recommend this scope to anyone wanting a SFP target Scope with High magnification and simple reticle.

The Golden Eagle is exactly what Vortex claims it is. In fact, I believe they're being quite modest about it and let the consumers make the grade, which it does. I've had mine for over 2 years now. I put this on a Ruger RPR 6.5 Creed for competition. Most comps have a weight restriction, which is why I put this rig together. Last year a guy with the same setup made the 1500yd milk jug competition in 6 shots (Coty Wyoming). Yes, Wyoming really does exsist, and, we can see for miles out here. There's a few things to be clear on relating to this optic. Elevation tracking is spot on every time. I see a lot of Vortex reps competing in Utah. The comps we run there, you have to figure your target distance, dial in your elevation and make your mark. You are constantly dialing up and down. Your first target may be 200yds, walk a mile and the 2nd target is 800yds, walk another mile and 3rd target is 450yrds. This thing tracks perfectly every time. To be clear, there is no way to BS your way through a competition like that one. Either your optics work or they do not. Clarity. These are 30mm tubes with a huge objective lens. Pulls light quite well. I've used all kinds of high-end optics and to be clear here, they all have the same restricting factor of clarity at x40 or more because of the tube size. With that said, this optic out performs the others. At x40 you can still see the veins on a leaf. Ridiculous. At x60, it is still a quality view, you just cannot count the grains of sand, that's all. The only thing I have seen better is a 40mm tube. Double the price and then some. Quality. The turrets make positive clicks. There is no slop anywhere, even after all I've put mine through. As matter as fact, I would say mine has better positive clicks than when I first got it. These optics are solid. Something to think about here at the end. This optic is machinist precession. Everything about this scope is sensitive and responsive. Putting the palm of your hand on the tube will draw changes to it in the cold of winter or the heat in the hot summer. It will change back perfectly after it acclimates to the overall temps. Knowing that now, I cannot express enough on 2 things that you should do. 1, use precision machined matched mounts. It matters. 2, Use the correct torque on the rings. That really matters. I’m still trying to wear mine out. I think it might out last the rifle. I don’t know how I got by without it, and I don’t know why I waited so long to do it. So, just do it already!

Bought this scope for 100 meter airgun target shooting and never even regretted it a little bit. The scope is able to retain its sharpness up to the 60x and the reticle is really nice. Definitely a recommendation for airgun benchrest use!

I’ve used this rifle scope for about a year now - and it’s exactly what you need. The mag values are clear all the way through, the tracking is dead on, the glass is like it isn’t there. I fell off a mountain, busted my scope up - sent it in for repairs. I offered to pay, claimed full responsibility and they shipped me a brand new one, no issues.

This was my second Vortex purchase and I couldn't be more impressed. I bought this for my .338 Lapua and have nothing but good things to say about it. Great clarity even at high magnification, incredibly easy to use and I am loving the enhanced reticle at long range..... I am now looking at switching out my leupold vx3 on my 7mm to a gen 2 pst for hunting season..... Super happy with Vortex quality and performance.

Bought this for Ruger Precision .308. Amazing combination. Scope is clear. The reticle is nice and thin. Great for target shooting at long ranges.

I’ve been running the golden eagle for almost 3 seasons of f-class shooting now and absolutely love it. I normal shoot 300 yard competition but have in fact shot 8,9, and 1000 yard competition as well and can contest that it tracks perfectly holds zero without a single issue. I have many fellow shooters who run other optics nightforce and sightron etc and on poor shooting days with a lot of mirage they have to power down to 30 power when I’m still fine at the 50-60x. I strongly feel for the $ and the quality you get with this optic it can not be beat hands down and highly suggest it!!

As a novice long range shooter i have been excited about the performance of this scope. My previous scope didnt hold up to the recoil of the .338 lap. So far im a little over 100 rnds with this scope and its true as the day i purchased. One of my favorite.

I've been competing with a Golden Eagle in F-TR for the last year and half now. There almost aren't words that can describe how amazing this scope is. The clarity, the turrets, the reticle and having it include the aperture ring to lengthen the depth of focus to aid in reading mirage are all absolutely perfect. It's performance in less than optimal lighting conditions is also bar none. Twice now, Ive shot clean scores in cloudy, dark, rainy conditions. Let the performance of this scope do the talking though, back to back national championships in F class and the current 1000 yard 20 shot string record should be all you need to know about how reliable and repeatable the Golden Eagle is. I even got to have Ian (engineer who designed it) score for me while I shot my first 1000 yard clean which was a National Record at that time by an active service member!

Great package
By Rust
Got this a few days ago and it came with a sunshade, a different turret, and some covers. The scope is great for ranges 800+yards. Easy to sight in and adjust the zoom.
Competitive shooters require a very specific set of features to stay ahead of the competition and The Golden Eagle hits the mark (pun intended). The 15-60x magnification, fine reticle and positive and repeatable tracking are perfect for fine tuning that record shot. Plus, its relatively light weight-29.5 oz.-allows shooters to adhere to strict competition weight limits.
Whether you're interested in Rim fire Bench Rest, Centerfire Bench Rest, NRA High-Power or F-Class competitions, this is the scope for you.
