I normally use these glassing power lines while hunting white-tailed deer. I didn't realize what a difference I would see in the quality of the glass and the clarity at dusk. The price point makes these a great quality choice without an expensive price tag. Beginners or experts will be happy to use these. If I could go back, I would skip purchasing inferior binoculars and go straight to these! Get a quality chest rig and you're set for life!

Vortex is amazing at there cost to benefit ratio. Yes there is better lines within their own organization and better optic manufacturers. However it will require a substantial price penalty for a slight performance gain in my opinion as a weekender. If I was a guide, outfitter, etc. and starring through them for 8 hours a day I may have a different opinion. But for my out West hunts and Eastern Whitetails at home I couldn't ask for more of them. They are slowly replacing Leupold as my go to.

Certainly better glass out there at higher price points but at this point on the scale and with the Vortex warranty you can't go wrong picking these up if you need a decent pair of binos to add to your kit.

Pretty happy with these Viper 10x50 binos. I'd estimate that the quality of the lenses and the 50mm objective lens gives me roughly 10 more minutes of low light viewing than my old 42mm objective lens binos. I've used binos that have very finicky focus wheels, but I don't have issue with that on these. The focus wheel spins easily and the focus stays true even after pulling them in and out of my bino harness. These Viper HD binos do come with Vortex's Glasspak Binocular Harness. For light use the harness would be fine, but I wouldn't recommend it for extended hiking or hunting. The harness has limited storage capability and no modularity to add bear spray, range finder, etc. I don't want this to come across as a gripe, because it's awesome that they include a bino harness at all, and, like I said, it's a great harness for light use. If you are getting into hunting or if you want a bino harness for extended use, I'd recommend taking a look at other brands out there like FHF, Marsupial, Mystery Ranch, etc.

I feel like I can see forever with this thing. The glass quality is really great. The dials for adjusting focus etc are nice and snug but smooth. I've had this in very humid environments with little issue.

Best scope I've owned to date, crystal clear into dusk and dawn. What else can I say, other than it's great.

Balance issue- CG is~40mm aft of mounting point. Had to make offset adapter plate to stabilize scope. Most users can't or will not do this . Vortex should use an extended shoe for similar scopes. One size does not fit all. On the other hand, the glass is wonderful and the build quality very solid.

Perfect binos for scouting, clear glass. Kinda hard to beat for the price.

After watching many reviews on many different binos, I decided these were the winners in the price/performance tradeoff. I've only had them a week, but so far I've been impressed at the image quality, including early morning, full sun, and cloudy/rain. Can't wait to take back country hunting shortly!

Solid optics with excellent clarity edge to edge. Nice and compact for hunting but still providing the zoom and smooth focus you expect for Vortex.

These binoculars have been great. They have stunning clarity and excellent light gathering capabilities, particularly in dim conditions. I also appreciated the solid build quality and find them well worth the price

I was wanting to upgrade my field glass so I decided to take advantage of a Vortex offer and purchase a pair of Viper HD 10x42 binos. I've been really pleased with them overall, but I guess I was hoping for a bit better clarity in the lenses and I'm not a huge fan of the 'locking' fine focus (mostly because I use the binoculars so infrequently that I forget about the feature and end up fumbling with the optics).

I have loved Vortex products for a long time. After several years of having these binos, I can confidently say this is the best glass I've ever owned. Clear, crisp and they adjust for anyone to use. Most glass I've owned has faded over time and to date these have not. Will be buying exclusively Vortex from now on

I bought these to keep in my truck in the event I get curious to see something closer. I also own a pair of Razor 12x50 UHD's while these are not the same quality glass you would be surprised how nice the glass of for the price. Let's not forget about the Vortex Unlimited Warranty.

I have a pair of crossfire hd 10x42's, decent binocular but after a couple seasons the eyecups are broken. Just bought a pair of Viper hd's, will give them a try this upcoming season .

I just got my first pair of 12×50 Vipers. I loved my range finders that I previously bought. We will be getting another pair of vipers for my wife. She wants the 10×42. They are lite weight and crystal clear. Plus you can't beat the warranty

I purchased the 12x50 as I wanted a binocular that I could use for hunting and birding. I have a pair of 8x42 and a pair of 6. 5x32. I love the 8x42 for clear steady views of fast moving birds. The 6. 5 is great for bike and backpacking as they are small. The 12x50 has been amazing for glassing hillsides and occasional birding. I love that I can carry the 12x in the place of a spotting scope. This has drastically decreased my pack weight. It is a little shaky to use for birding but with a good rest or walking/shooting stick you can get clear views. The chest pack it comes with is terrible. I purchased a Sitka Mountain Optics case and it fits on the larger fastening loop. Highly recommend for hunting, wildlife spotting and for occasional birding.

Great spotting scope for the range. It works perfect for the range out to and past 1,024yds. Good for the ranges without too far of a walk/hike. I would not want hike with this in the backcountry but there are other products for that use. All in all great product from a great company with solid reputation.

There is a night VS day different when switching from a good monocular to a great HD binocular like this. The High Density glass(HD) will make the BIG difference when searching coyotes or deer in dry grass or trees during sunrise or sunset hours where some colors blend with shades. Weighing barely 1.5 lbs makes them my to go for hunting or traveling binos for open fields.Out of the box they come with the neckstrap, eyepiece and objective lens covers the best features are the adjustable diopter...
