I’ve been a film/video DP for many years and decided to give this “newfangled” set of sticks a try.  It’s for sure different - and identical to the Sachtler, so I opted for losing the annoying red handles of the Sachtler.  It supported my 25-lb camera build last week on a shoot with relative ease.  But I worry about using this thing in the field - and by that I mean off-road use, where the thing can get beat up and dirty.  For one I worry that mud could build up inside the telescoping leg assembly unless I’m careful to wipe it off before collapsing.  And the most annoying and frankly incomprehensible issue I have with this is the SIZE OF THE SPIKE ASSEMBLY.  They’re outright PUNY.  They look like they’ll snap off the minute you hastily set down in some rocks out in the middle of wherever.  And if they break… So I’m calling these my “go to town” sticks.  Nice look; easy to use.  Keep em clean, I say.
