The bdc works perfectly with a .308 using 178 gr precision hunter ammo. Main cross hair at 100 and you have dead on hold overs for 200, 300, 400, and 500.

This is the best scope ever i have dropped it multiple times (on accident) and it still held zero. Very durable and good quality optic.

I got this scope on sale for my AR-10 Texas Edition 243 Win. It?s seen it?s fair share of action on feral hog/coyotes and has delivered every time.

I bought this in hopes to extend my comfortable range on my 45/70, and was not disappointed. It's much more clear than what I previously had mounted on the rifle, and offers far better relief

This is Viper HS is scope #2. First scope completely broke and lost zero. This scope has so far been able to hold a consistent zero. However, the tracking is all screwed up. I hold a 3" high at 100 yard zero on my 300 Weatherby. When zeroing the clicks where not even close to 1/4" at 100 yards. Depending on the number of clicks needed to dial in; some where closer to 1/8" at 100 yards others where closer to 3/4" at 100 yards. Getting this scope dialed in was a fricken nightmare. The glass is clear, crisp. and so far the zero has held true. However, this is not the performance I expected from this company or this level of scope. Will probably replace with a Leupold after hunting season. Sad considering the constant quality I have experienced with Vortex's other optics over the years.

Bought this, mounted it on my 300 Weatherby, and loved it. Crisp, clear, and I'm a fan of the BDC Reticle. I took it to the range and was stacking rounds until round #44 when suddenly my point of impact shifted up 2.5" at 100 yards. After that the scope would hold its zero and I couldn't group anything tighter than 5". The only reason it gave two stars instead of one was because Sportsman's Warehouse honored the Vortex warranty and I was able to get a replacement right away. My first hunt season opens in two weeks, hopefully this Viper doesn't break too.

Put this on a 700 cdl in .270 and couldn’t be more impressed. Great light gathering, clear to the edges, and a clean non busy reticle. Great mid range scope.

I bought my viper 2 years ago and mounted it to my mossberg MVP 6.5 creedmore, sighted it in at 200yrds. After hundreds of rounds and days out in the woods and this scope has never let me down. I would definitely recommend this scope or any other vortex brand scope to everyone.

I couldn't be more pleased with this scope. The quality Vortex brings to the table is hard to beat. The lifetime warranty makes them an easy choice because we all know everything goes as planned on a hunt.

I purchased this optic for a upcoming hunting trip. I want an optic that is Solid and can take a beating. That led me to Vortex. Build quality is top notch and backed by the VIP no questions asked warranty which says a lot. That tells me that Vortex is %100 confident in the build and ruggedness of this or any optic they put out. Glass quality is clear and gathers light well in the early and later hours of the day. Turrets are easily adjusted and have a solid click to keep you aware of your adjustments. Body is solid and matte finish does a great job of absorbing reflective output.

I have had this scope on my 308 for over two years and have been nothing but impressed the whole time. Many animals have fallen thanks to it. The quality in lowlight situations was the selling point for me.

I bought this scope about a year ago and real like it. It didn’t break the bank with it and it has worked flawlessly. I like the BDC a lot I figured out the yardages for each hash to my specific caliber/ammo and it has been dead on everytime.

I purchased this product close to four years ago now. It has been the best scope purchase that I have made. The quality to price ratio is unbeatable. The adjustments are both tactile and audible making sighting in a breeze, the parallax adjustment is easy to use and learn, and it holds up to abuse extremely well. Through four years of hunting seasons and range trips it has not lost zero despite being dropped and banged around in a soft case. The clarity and low light ability of it is very beneficial when taking low light shots as many white tail deer hunters know all too well. The cross hairs are fine enough that they do not cover too much of the target zone while being wide enough to pick up with ease. I would recommend this scope to any hunter or shooter that is not in need of a more advanced reticle than the dead hold BDC.

I just purchased a Tikka T3x hunter, SS fluted barrel, walnut stock and I was undecided on the scope I wanted. I have done plenty of research and ordered the Viper HS, 4x16x44. This scope will provide everything I need for the big woods of Pennsylvaina (and more). I have become a life long customer. Thank you!

I bought this about a year ago, it went to Wyoming atop the bighorns and on my 30-06. I felt comfortable with it to 400 yards without a lot of practicing. Shot my 5x4 mule deer at 360 yards. Shot a 147" 11 pointer through the in corn on an opposite hillside at 220 yards also in November.Didn't need more magnification or anything. Clarity is what sets this scope apart. Always buy the best optics you can afford and this one won't disappoint.
