I have 4 if these and this might be my favorite scope on the market. A FFP that doesn't break the bank, a magnification range that allows for excellent precision and an extremely generous eye relief of 4". Well done Vortex Team, well done!

I purchased this scope and had it placed on a Tikka 270. It's a tack driver. Was my first Vortex optic, I now have 4!

i recently purchased the viper hs 4-16x50 and I'm blown away. this scope by fare the best hunting scope I've ever used. i drew a once in a life time elk tag in Oklahoma and i wanted to take full advantage of the opportunity. great product and great company. ps the only down side is now i have swap out my other rifles cause you cant go back afterwards

Purchased the Vortex Viper HSLR in 4x16x50 with .5 MOA adjustments up/ down & .25 MOA Adjustments left/right for extra simple and timely adjustments for hunting situations. Mounted this on my Christenson Arms Mesa in 300WM. This scope has exceeded my expectations...durable, returns to zero, great glass at dawn or dusk. BDC reticle is also spot on shooting almost any 180g bullet. Vortex is changing the game for affordable high quality glass.

I bought this scope a few weeks ago for the 6.8 Western I ordered. Couldn't wait so I put it on my 7 mm mag. this scope is really great. I would give it a higher score but I want to see how it shoots on my new gun. By the way 3 shots and it was zeroed at 100 yards.

I put this on a 7-08 for elk hunting and shooting medium range. I can hit consistently 600 yards with no issues. The glass is very clear which helps greatly when my father shoots it since his eyesight is not the best. Looking it buy another to put on my 7mm.

Bought this to mount on my 270 axis. I love this scope so much I'm probably gonna throw it on my 300 wsm rifle and put another vortex on the axis. The clarity and build quality of this scope is amazing for the price. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a superb scope that doesn't break the bank.

I only recently became serious about shooting and bought this scope at the recommendation of a vortex employee. I read some basic shooting and ballistics literature that he recommended and I spent a few weekends at the range and was able to poke through this cow?s heart at 325 yards. The scope was plenty bright despite the shot coming with just 15 minutes left of legal light. It?s the longest shot I?ve attempted at an animal and wouldn?t have had the confidence to go for it without the assistance from the staff.

I’ve had this scope now for about 4 months. I replaced a Nikon on my 300 Win with this Vioer HS 4-16x50 and I couldn’t be happier. The hold over marks work great out to 500 yards and holds zero true. This is my 5th vortex scope and I will continue buying there products.

Hunting season is short as we all know. So to have your seals fail and have the scope cloud is unacceptable, especially when you raise the rifle on a nice buck at 200 yards on the opening morning. The VIP warranty is cool and all but one should not have to use it due to manufacturer defect. This scope has resulted in a waste of ammo and money to send it in for repair.

Best glass that I own. I don't ever see myself in the 1K plus genre of scopes so this was a big purchase for me. I have been on multiple local and western hunts with this and love it.

I currently own 2 Viper PST's which I love. So when I looked for a new scope for Browning BAR I turned to the viper line again. I wanted some type of milling reticle with great glass, and a large objective to collect light in those last minutes of the day. Well, that's exactly what I got! Love the simple reticle with quick on the go ranging and hold over availability for fast shots. The elevation knob being exposed is really nice too! you wont be sorry for buying this scope!

Ive had this scope for a couple years not putting it through the riggers of Oklahoma terrains. The scope now has a scratch on top but is no worse for wear its been atop a 300 win mag that has destroyed the reticle in lesser scopes and it now sits atop a savage 10 fcp-k in 308. The turrets track true and return to designated zero with ease. The clarity is great for an under $700 scope and it has yet to fog in the field. Overall well pleased.

Love this scope - Very accurate - easy to use and adjust - downloaded the ballistics chart for my rifle and load and placing 4" groups at 600 yards. Only wish elevation was 1/4" moa instead of 1/2" for greater fine tune adjustment. I only rated performance with 4 stars (good) for that reason only.

I got this scope a couple years ago and have had it on my savage 243 and 7mm and it works great real clear great scope that holds a good zero the only thing that I don't like about it is the turrets don't lock other then that wouldn't mind getting another one later on down the road

I bought this scope 10 monthes ago, it has preformed flawlessly, it is on my .308 hunting gun that I use and abuse. For the past fox hunting season here in Iceland it has seen Snow, rain, freezing cold and everything I can throw at it. I was gifted this scope from my buddy, who won it off a prize table at a long range shoot. Although I have not had a chance to use this scope out yet, it seems to be an awesome scope. It has great clarity and focus. I cant wait to get this mounted on my rifle to start using it. (I'm just waiting on payday for some scope rings, mine had been too tall.

I got my wife this for her hunting rig. However she has a 4-16 ffp xlr. Not the deadhold bdc. Scope was easy to install. Easy to zero, comes with shims as a zero stop, which is a convenient feature and the scope elevation turret tracks well. I think it’s a great scope for hunting, my wife likes it’s features and the simplicity of being able to use the XLR reticle vs dialing MOA.

I bought this scope about 6 months ago in a 6-24x50 configuration up here in Canada to do double duty as my primary hunting and target scope. I can tell you right now it is everything you could need and then some. Crystal clear image and the compensating reticle is very accurate and easy to use while not eating into the field of view. This scope will get the job done. I highly recommend it.

I have used this scope for over a year now and it still works flawless. Clear as the day I opened it also. I have knocked it around dropped the gun it was on and point of impact has never shifted. I’m a Vortex customer for life.

Amazing value here. The clarity of the glass at this price point is outstanding. The covered caps give me an added sense of security when out in the field from bumping and the BDC reticle keeps things simple enough for a hunter. Certainly a lifetime scope for me.
