Simple tabletop viewer

While we have only had this item for a week, it is a great new asset to our classroom. Setup is very simple: unpack, unfold and plug-in. Sturdy aluminum construction, simple on-off switch and perfectly balanced illumination make for a very useful and hopefully long-lasting viewing light.

Does What It Should And Does It Well

The viewer does exactly what it is supposed to. Why 4 stars and not 5? Three reasons: 1) While it is a quality, precision device for sure I don't think there are many who wouldn't agree that it is significantly overpriced for sure. In fact, if GTI made the price more reasonable (and the Adorama price is about the best you are going to find out there) they would probably sell many more! 2) There should be some clips or something of that ilk to carry the power cord down to the base (or even better have that be the location the cord inserts into) rather than having it come out the top rear 3) The lighting is not even and fades towards the bottom of the viewing area. Yes, this can be fixed by potentially adding a lower lumineer - can you say "lots more money"?? That said it does provide a very nice standardized viewing booth for print viewing, assessment, and soft-proofing.
