At last a good slide viewer that allows viewing of 40 year old Kodachrome and Fujichrome slides. Very clear. Although it is battery and USB powered also, too bad a DC cable/adapter was not in the box.

details in slides are easy to see. Slides move through nicely. Thousands of slides to sort through, much easier than using the projector. Nice price for what I needed.

Viewer works well for a small project. Only issue I have is the slides hang up a bit when you're loading into viewer.

Purchased to speed up slide sorting for scanning project. Easy to see how good (or bad) an old slide is, before placing on scanner.

For occasional low-volume use. Chosen for LED color temp and reported evenness of lighting across screen- which was actually very good. No supply hopper - slides must be fed in 1-by-1. when collection slot gets full, it can block slides coming from viewing screen into collection slot. When 'ejecting" a slide from the viewing screen, hold the button in until the slide has fully fallen. Good lighting, magnification seemed very even, too.

Every other slide viewer I have ever used contained a little incandescent bulb for its light source; this has the effect of making every slide you view appear a bit warmer than it should. This viewer uses a pair of perfectly white LEDs and a very smooth diffusion screen. There is no "hot spot" in the center where the bulb is, and you see the colors that are really in the slide; end result: slides look FANTASTIC! Another reviewer mentioned how slides sometimes get "hung up" when you try to eject them, and I have had this problem too; however, I didn't have a very difficult time freeing them up when this happens, and I didn't find it enough of a problem to reduce my rating. Other slide viewers have some sort of spring-loaded switch that is activated by pushing a slide into the viewer; every one of these that I have used makes erratic contact and makes the light flicker. This viewer has a nice firm push-button that turns the light on and off; the light remains bright and steady; no flickering. On top of that, since the light source is a pair of LEDs, the batteries should last a really long time. I think it's too bad that now that film use has reduced so much, they finally come up with a slide viewer that makes them look so good. This is an EXCELLENT product, and the price is very reasonable.

The negative feature about this slide viewer is that when finished looking at the 2X2 slide it often times gets stuck or hung up in the channel after applying the ejection button. It gets annoying when you have to stop and manually free the slide from the slot.

Excellent product

At last a good slide viewer that allows viewing of 40 year old Kodachrome and Fujichrome slides. Very clear. Although it is battery and USB powered also, too bad a DC cable/adapter was not in the box.
This desktop slide viewer is designed to view 2x2 mounted slides and 35mm film strips and negatives.
The 3x glass lens allows for easy viewing of originals. A button on the side releases the slide into the holding tray at the bottom of theviewer.
Powered by 4 "AA" batteries(not included). New version uses super bright, daylight color LED's for amazingly bright and even illumination.
