Questions & Answers

Shopper : I don't have slides but I have a ton of 35mm film negatives that I would like to view so I can put my pics in order. (I think I'm OCD) Anyways, they are hard to see w/just a magnifying glass so I wondered if this would work for me? ThanksREA K : Yes, you can put the negatives through one slot and pull them out the other slot. It's a little more convenient than using a magnifying glass and a light.KEN A : No, I wouldn't use this product. It's designed for mounted slides. Unless you like looking at negative images you should get a 35mm scanner that will invert the colors for you - and make digital copies.GEORGE S : I never even thought of using this viewer for negatives; I just tried, and it works well. You just slide the film strip through the slots on either side. You're still seeing a NEGATIVE, but it magnifies the image very nicely, and it's bright white light, and very even, so you'll get a good clear look at what's on the film.ANDREW W : I do not think so, the light comes on when press a slide into the device, it presses on a spring hinge to turn on the light.
jerrie d : How long is the backorder wait?GEORGE S : I think only Adorama can answer that...
WALTER W : Is this viewer single view or multiple ?LEWIS L : Insert one-at-a-time in the top. When done viewing, press the side button and they fall onto the collection tray at the bottom.Sandor E : Single viewC HARRY K : It would be DIFFICULT for two, or more, to view at a time.GEORGE S : One slide at a time. Put in into a slot on top, and there is an eject button that lets the slide fall through into the tray at the bottom. PS: This is an EXCELLENT viewer. My slides have never looked better. The LEDs are perfectly white, and there is no artificial "warmness" which comes from a normal incandescent bulb. Also, excellent battery life, because the LEDs consume so little power.JOHN F : Single: one slide at a time.KEN A : I bought this for my Mom. You view one slide at a time, which drops into the chute after viewing. I don't remember whether the chute holds more than one slide, but it certainly wouldn't hold many and you hand-load the slides into the viewer one at a time. Hope that helps.

Excellent product

At last a good slide viewer that allows viewing of 40 year old Kodachrome and Fujichrome slides. Very clear. Although it is battery and USB powered also, too bad a DC cable/adapter was not in the box.

Slide viewer

details in slides are easy to see. Slides move through nicely. Thousands of slides to sort through, much easier than using the projector. Nice price for what I needed.

DLC DL-SV3 DESKTOP

Viewer works well for a small project. Only issue I have is the slides hang up a bit when you're loading into viewer.

Works just fine.

Purchased to speed up slide sorting for scanning project. Easy to see how good (or bad) an old slide is, before placing on scanner.

Good for hobby use

For occasional low-volume use. Chosen for LED color temp and reported evenness of lighting across screen- which was actually very good. No supply hopper - slides must be fed in 1-by-1. when collection slot gets full, it can block slides coming from viewing screen into collection slot. When 'ejecting" a slide from the viewing screen, hold the button in until the slide has fully fallen. Good lighting, magnification seemed very even, too.

EXCELLENT Slide Viewer

Every other slide viewer I have ever used contained a little incandescent bulb for its light source; this has the effect of making every slide you view appear a bit warmer than it should. This viewer uses a pair of perfectly white LEDs and a very smooth diffusion screen. There is no "hot spot" in the center where the bulb is, and you see the colors that are really in the slide; end result: slides look FANTASTIC! Another reviewer mentioned how slides sometimes get "hung up" when you try to eject them, and I have had this problem too; however, I didn't have a very difficult time freeing them up when this happens, and I didn't find it enough of a problem to reduce my rating. Other slide viewers have some sort of spring-loaded switch that is activated by pushing a slide into the viewer; every one of these that I have used makes erratic contact and makes the light flicker. This viewer has a nice firm push-button that turns the light on and off; the light remains bright and steady; no flickering. On top of that, since the light source is a pair of LEDs, the batteries should last a really long time. I think it's too bad that now that film use has reduced so much, they finally come up with a slide viewer that makes them look so good. This is an EXCELLENT product, and the price is very reasonable.

Not 100% Satisfactory

The negative feature about this slide viewer is that when finished looking at the 2X2 slide it often times gets stuck or hung up in the channel after applying the ejection button. It gets annoying when you have to stop and manually free the slide from the slot.
