You can tilt the lens at an angle to cast more light on one side of the light-field. This way youcan light anything from an angle and adjust the falloff so the entire subject is the same brightness. Now you can light a green-screen from one side and get uniform illumination, canceling thefalloff. You can also light a group of people from the side with the same brightness from near tofar. You can light for movement, so as someone walks closer to the light, they do not getbrighter. These effects normally require a much larger light that is set further away for the falloffto even out with distance. So you get a much bigger look with a much smaller light.
