If you want this focal length get this lens. Extremely nice fit and finish. Image quality is outstanding. I have photographed with many lenses over the years and I have never been more pleased. Focusing is easy using focus peaking. The field of focus is extremely narrow at F1.4. It truly is a classic in every way.

I bought this to supplement my 1957 Summaron 35/2.8 on my M9. Direct comparison to the Summaron shows its faults, but when not viewed at full size - actually looking from a normal distance - it is an excellent lens. Its build quality is excellent as it has good weight and smooth action. My only complaint is that it is not as easy to zone/hyperfocal focus as the Summaron. Impartial observers of photos taken with both lenses above cannot tell the difference. I usually shoot at f8. I bought the Nokton so that I can use it in low light conditions. Its performance at f8 is without complaint.

Amazing little lens. Super small, light weight but very solid build. Looks and feels great on my Sony a7. Easy to operate, clicks are solid, focus is smooth but not loose (perfectly dampened). Overall very happy with this purchase.

Great for general event and portrait photography. Mounted on a NEX-7, it gives the equivalent of a 60mm focal length. Sharp images, excellent color rendition.
