Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.2 Aspherical Still Edition Lens for Sony E

Our new Nokton Still edition F1.2 aspherical Sony E is a very balanced lens with the universal and very popular focal length of 50 mm - for an extremely natural perspective. It has been designed for both digital and analogue photography and is functionally fully compatible for use with rangefinder cameras.

Two lens elements with aspherical surfaces and the 12-plate diaphragm construction provide outstanding optical performance even when the panel is open. Images with a very soft and pronounced bokeh can also be created. The close limit is 70 cm (may vary by camera type), when using the separately sold VM-E adapter (for Sony cameras) the minimum distance is reduced to 41.7 cm.

When developing the Still Edition aspherical VM, we put a lot of emphasis on compactness, so the weight is only 344 grams, which makes it extremely user-friendly and easy to use. Thus, when using the optical viewfinder of the camera disturbing influences on the viewing angle are largely avoided by the short design.

The new Still Edition aspherical VM is aimed at the photographers among you who appreciate an excellent standard lens with fine image quality in a classic look. And thanks to the high light intensity of F1.2, it is virtually predestined for available-light photography.

Optionally, two lens hoods are available: the LH-8, which is also suitable for other Voigtlander lenses, can also be used here, as well as a new model LH-10 (sold separately), which offers even better stray light shielding.
