Superb lens for the budget buyer
Superb lens, really quite sharp and comparable to the Leica Summilux F1.4 Aspherical for a fraction of the price. It is not quite the same, as it has no floating lens element for example, but the sharpness and character are excellent in the center where it matters. Wholeheartedly recommend it, unless you want to pay four times more -- this from someone who owns 80 lenses for the Leica M.

This new Nokton is a lens that demands to be reckoned with. The first 50mm f/1.5 Nokton was introduced in 1950 on the Voigtlander Prominent 35mm rangefinder camera.
Heritage and lineage are important at Voigtlander, the oldest name in optics.
