Definitely a great substitute for a macro lens. Although not a replacement. Certainly useful if you are a casual macro photographer. I like the versatility of the 12 or 24mm lengths or the option to use both. Definitely worth the purchase

Viltrox extension tube set
I haven't used it much yet, but it seems to work well. The set has three tubes, 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm. I've used mostly the 20mm tube with my Canon 90D (which I love), AV mode at f/9.0, Canon EF-S 18-135 lens set at 135mm. I had focus problems with the lens set at shorter focal lengths. I have heard that extension tubes don't work well with zoom lenses, and that is my experience also. I ordered a nifty fifty to use with the tubes. The auto focus function works well. The 20mm tube seems to give a very narrow depth of field. I focused on a flower blossom, but only the front petal was in focus. The rest of the blossom was not. I need to experiment more with the tubes at various apertures and tube combinations to see what it will do. But, my initial experiences with the product are positive, and I would recommend it. The reason I did not give it five stars is the depth of field issue.

Good enough to get the job done
It works very well as a single tube but a little too light weight and wobbly with both tubes. The construction is a little flimsy but good enough if you can support the lens. That said, it does the job fine. I'm keeping it, although I was momentarily considering exchanging it for the more expensive unit.

Awesome for the price
These extension tubes work great and, while they don't FEEL solid, they appear to be constructed well and have so far handled larger lenses without a problem. They lock well but are not difficult to unlock either. I can pop them on and off lenses without much effort which is great. For the price these really are great options for extension tubes.

For the money, can't be beat
Was in the market for reasonably priced extension tubes for some quasi experimental macro images. These worked just as advertised, for the money I have not one complaint

Viltrox DG-NEX Extension Tube Sony E-mount
I can get real close with my subject for macro photography. It helps a lot! It has auto focus for Sony E-Mount cameras (depending on the models). It is very light and portable but on the other side it?s build quality is not that durable in my opinion. So you just have to be really careful while using it. Overall a great gear for macro photography lovers at a reasonable price! Great product, I?d recommend.

Great way to see if macro is your thing
These extension tubes are very well made and are exactly what I was looking for as an introduction to macro photography. Very inexpensive way to dip your toe in and see if it’s fit you, and that’s what I was looking for. After practicing with them I know that a true macro lens will be my next purchase.

Create superb macro images!
I get superb macro images with these extension tubes and my normal zoom and short zoom lenses. The auto functions work fine, though I find manual focus works better for most of my projects. A 'must have' for my kit!

Works well
These extension tubes work as expected, allowing for a reduced focusing distance while allowing for aperture control. I wish they had a 6 mm tube which is a good length for internal zoom lenses at shorter focal lengths as it is less likely to move the focal plane behind the front element (i.e. for an 18-135, with the shortest tube, the focal plane is behind the front element until approximately 70 mm).

Do Your Research
These are excellent extension tubes for producing fair macro style shots. Just be aware of the limitations of the technology. They will not magically turn your lens into a perfect substitute for a dedicated macro. You will lose infinite focus and have a fairly small range of focus to work with. Additionally, getting any kind of sharpness near the edges of your photograph is nearly impossible. This is just a physical reality of using extension to decrease focusing distance and is not a fault of the product.
If you're interested in trying out macro photography to see if you like it, these are a great, low cost option. Solidly built and do exactly what they claim to.

Dissatisfied and likely to have to repurchase similar product from another manufacturer.
Smallest tube poorly integrates with my Canon camera and does not fit properly. I would not recommend this product.

Works withthe A7RIII
Works well with my A7Riii. A little bit of side to side play, but not so much as to interfere with the electronic connections. Expect slower autofocus, especially in low light, but overall good performance.

Do Something Different
A quick and cheap way to do something different with your photography! These tubes are compact and solidly built. This setup allows autofocus, though it's probably just easier to use manual.

These Macro Rings "Technically" Work
I've only had these for 24 hours, and overall, the construction seems pretty good. However, the fit to my RP camera body is loose, as is the fit to my RP 24-240 lens. Technically, these macro rings work. The test photos are properly exposed and seem sharp when viewed on the EVF. I had hoped, because these are about the only R-to-R mount macro rings around at the moment, and the price point is attractive, to expand my nature photo capabilities. I will likely not use these as often as I had anticipated, and will definitely be supporting my rig by the lens.
