Have reasonable expectations.

It works... barely... you can use manual focus with this adapter. It will try to autofocus the lens even if manual focus is selected on the lens and the camera. It also will fault if no electronic contacts are found and report a lens error to the camera making the camera unable to shoot fully manual lenses. But it does autofocus with official canon lenses, and only official canon lenses. Most canon prime lenses will cover the sensor with noticeable vignetting and softness in the corners but I find most lenses plenty useable for portraiture, especially L series lenses. My 50 F1.4, 100mm F2, and 135mm F2. all work particularly very well and I purchased all of them for a fraction of what a single GFX lens cost. Given the lack of autofocus fast lenses on the system, this is quite valuable in low light situations. So despite it's shortcomings it's worth the cost.
