I have mainly used this scanner for loose photos that I need to scan when not at home using my larger Epson scanner. It has really come in handy when visiting family, relatives, etc. and they have some nice photos to share with you. Having this small portable scanner has been a great asset.

It's the best electronic gadget that I've bought so far from anywhere. It's very portable (uses only 2 x AA batteries) but the scan quality is like using a traditional flatbed scanner (resolution is 300 dpi or 600 dpi). So far, the only problem I have with it is I'm not yet used to using it so sometimes the scan may come out as wavy because I'm not hovering the scanner continuously and straightly but that won't be a problem once I get used to this (it just arrived today). I'll use it to scan mostly files from school and newspaper parts. It's also very convenient if for any reason, you're absent from school, you can just scan a notebook of a classmate. I also use it to scan photos and receipts. The Magic Wand does wonders in the library. Since there are certain books which you really can't checkout, I'll just scan it and I'll save on photocopying costs!

My wife and I can't think of anything that isn't GREAT about it. We had looked high and low on the web to find a hand held scanner to scan pictures of our children that were in over 30 some albums. Using a hand held scanner just made the progress soooo.... much easier than using flatbed scanner. Again, we primarily use it to scan photos. Once you get the hang of slowly moving it down the item you want to scan it's just a piece of cake. Scanning one photo after another and seeing it appear in the photo gallery is so exciting. We can then either save to an album on our computer or simply send it off via email to our daughters. To tell you the truth, we haven't found fault with it yet. Oh, yes, the portablity of it is even better. We just place it in our laptop case and away we go. GREAT device to have!
