Good product, good price
This hood is good quality for my lens that did not come with a hood. I need to be careful not to cross-thread it, and watch for unintentional vignetting but that's potential user error.

Screw on lens cap
This is just a warning. The quality is fine, and the price is great,but ...
For my other Nikon lenses I have the "clip ins" so the alignment works. And for my telephoto I can take it off so it fits in the bag.
I had to use some electrical tape to make this screw-on aligned so it didn't mess up with the borders.
Now that may be because I wasn't patient enough, but ...
Adorama is still my source for almost everything photographic Even though I live in Chicago, which is sad..

Not useful to me
I purchased the Vivitar lens hood for my 52mm 35-105mm Nikon lens. It doesn't work like the current Nikon lens hoods and so you get vignetting. I would not recommend it.

A lens hood that vignettes
I bought this hood for an old, but versatile, Nikon 35-105 zoom lens. The hood screws on, but as the lens focuses the hood turns with it so it almost guarantees vignetting. That's why I returned it.
