Shopper : Can this bracket be mounted on the left side also by rotating the bracket 180 degrees? Can you also rotate the flash 180 degrees so it will face the subject but on the left side of the camera as my shutter release is on the right and would be in the way! Gary C.MARK G : I use the bracket on the left side of the camera (while holding camera, bracket is on left). If you use it on the right side, the flash will face backwards.

great camcorder light

I was looking for a light to attach to my camcorder. This item was perfect for what I was looking for! It attaches to the tripod socket on the camera plus you can still attach both to a tripod as it also has a connector for the tripod!The flash I have is a small battery operated that has a hot shoe connector. This is great if you are looking for a bracket to attach to your camcorder.

Doesn't fit canon flash units

It is really too small to use with cameras like the 5d Mark ii and neither of my Canon flash hotshoes fit on the this bracket.

Does The Job, Nice Grip!

Gets the Flash unit off the camera either of 2 possible positions. The bottom of the camera mounting screw was not threaded for tripod mounting.
