great filters

For the price, these filters work well. The only real issue I had was the machining of the threads were a bit rough. I took a wire brush and cleaned them up and cleaned them off with mineral oil and they screw on just fine now. I'd buy again, given the price.

I use this sharp lens a lot with great success.

Works great

One of the reasons I bought this low cost kit is that i don't use filters often. But especially the CPL will come for that once in a while I want to lose a reflection off a window, or make sky more blue, other than in photoshop. The ND8 will come in handy for that also once in a while when you need less light.

Solid set of basic filters

The filters looked top notch. Unfortunately, they were the wrong size for the lens I bought them for; so I returned them.

Adorama was fast in sending me a UPS label for a free return and credited my card within a few days of the filters arriving at Adorama.

I use the polarizer and up filter as lens protectors and they work great. They are inexpensive and really help with cutting back on unwanted light.

Awesome product

This was a great addition to my 55mm f/1.4 lens.  I attached the UV filter and have left it on.  The nice option is that you can continue attaching more filters which I have done.  I had the UV & ND8 attached when taking some photos.  They came out great.  The quality can be felt and seen on these filters.

I have used the Vivitar UV and CPL filters so far if there is any difference from my more expensive filters I can't really tell.

I am very satisfied with this purchase and hope to have a bright sunny day to try the neutral density #8 filter and hopefully give it

These came as a freebie with my NIkon 50 f1.8G. Not the worst, not the greatest, but they will do for protecting the lens and offering some polarizing/ND options.

Decent filters for the price

I got this set of filters free from an order of a nikon 50mm lens.

My father is a part-time photographer, so I've always known Vivitar as a brand. They have always been a third party filter and accessories maker, so I was anticipating a decent yet very cheap filter, which was fine since it was free.

The out come was a filter that even surprised me, the filters were of really good quality, worked well. I am so happy Adorama has given me a chance to test out these filters. At $29.99 they are such incredible.

Using for my Nikkor AF-S 50mm 1.4G.

Just to clear up any questions about what's included with this kit, it contains:
(1) UV filter. Series 1 HD Multi-coated.
(1) CPL filter. Series 1 HD Multi-coated.
(1) ND8 filter. Series 1 HD Multi-coated.
(1) Four-pocket filter wallet, as shown in picture.

UV filters are pretty much lens protectors. This one does the job. A little more protection for my lens, plus never having to clean the lens glass again? Excellent.
The CPL (circular polarizer lens) filter is sweet. I'd never used one before. you rotate the ring on it to remove reflections off of non-metallic reflective surfaces like glass or water, or change the saturation of the sky. Really neat.
The ND8 filter knocks out 4 stops of light. Use it to get longer exposure times during daylight.

Optical clarity from these filters seem to be good. I haven't done any quantitative tests, but I haven't been disappointed in the sharpness of my photos.

They all screw in perfectly, no fitment issues.
