I was quite pleased while performing some test shots with the cone. You could notice the drastic improvements, turning the hard reflected glare into a soft, diffused reflection. The opening from the top is decent, and the diameter of the base is plenty for macro photography.

The light come for mobile did not work for me. I have an iPhone 14 Pro and photograph delicate wire jewelry. I could not get a good shot because the hole at the top seemed too small for my phone camera. I cut the hole a bit bigger, still no good. Also, I tried to use it in the sunshine and it did not allow enough light in. I don't want to buy 4-5 desk lights as I have actual photography led lights. Those don't work very well either.

Full disclosure, I won this product. I have also purchased one in the past. The light cones are a fantastic addition to my macro photography. By keeping the glare off of glass and jewelry, not to mention other shiny objects, my workflow has greatly improved. Nowhere near the editing like before receiving the light cone. I have also been known to unsnap the large light cone and use it as a flat diffuser. I just prop it against my duoboards to soften the light. I'm hoping Vflat will come up with a flat diffuser to fit with the duoboards soon.

I already own d he medium sized lightcone, and after using it, decided he are one was necessary addition, I haven't used the large yet, but will soon, in full confidence it will do exactly what the medium did, which is exactly what I need it for.

The light cones arrived in New Zealand this week un rapped and set them up Saturday set up very easy and tried some test shots just to get a feel for them happy with what i got but having all the back up videos to refer to is going to make things so much easier as i am photographing jewellery just ordered a light ring great product great support.

I have to say, I was skeptical a first, doubting that a single tool could solve so many illumination problems. Well, it does , and it does it so fast that you'll avoid to set up your typical still life setup for chrome objects because you can obtain 95% the result in 10% of the time, and if you have to do an e-commerce shooting with 100 products, you know how time consuming can be. Approved for sure!

I tried to DIY a light cone and the results were adequate BUT came with a huge headache. The one I made was flimsy, awkward, and impossible to store for my next project. The project I'd been hired to shoot required a fast turnaround and I simply didn't have time to order the real thing. The day after the project, I placed my order for the full Light Cone X Karl Taylor kit! Having 3 sizes to choose from for my next project, ensuring I will be able to handle anything my clients throw at me, is such as relief. The durability, flexibility, and storability are better than anything I could have come up with on my own.

Diffuses light well, but the hole is too small for an iPhone 15. This causes the camera to shift between lenses trying to focus, making it difficult to work with.

As a very amateur photographer and not having much invested in lighting, this cone really works wonders for the lighting I do have. It has done an awesome job of being able to flatten out lighting without losing details. I just started taking pictures of my wife's new jewelry for her upstart and they have turned out so much better with the cone.

V-Flat World Team is one of my favorite brands so it made sense to purchase the light cone. I have a friend who uses this light cones for his product photography and I wanted to try it out for myself. I received a discount code for my birthday from V-Flat World so it helped save some money and get another product from my favorite brand. The pictures I provided speak for themselves you clearly see a difference in the diffusion of light. Much softer shadows. Excellent product and the price is fairly affordable.
