About Vixen Optics SLR Camera Adapter G

For photographers seeking to elevate their ultra-telephoto photography, the Vixen SLR Camera Adapter G is an innovative and high-quality solution. This durable and versatile adapter is designed to facilitate shooting through an eyepiece, a unique feature that sets it apart from conventional devices that require the scope to function as a prime focus SLR lens.

The Camera Adapter G is optimized for use in bright light conditions and high ISO settings, thanks to its fastest effective aperture of f/10.7. This makes it an ideal companion for modern DSLRs, renowned for their ability to produce noise-free, high-ISO images. However, it's worth noting that this adapter is not designed for film SLR cameras.

Exclusively compatible with Vixen GL15, GL20, and GL25 eyepieces, the Camera Adapter G boasts a built-in extension ring. This feature allows photographers to lengthen the effective focal length of their scope and eyepiece combination, providing an extended range for capturing stunning images.

Given the extended focal length achievable with this adapter, it's essential to minimize vibration for optimal results. Techniques such as locking up the SLR's mirror before firing, using a cable release or remote control for shutter activation, and employing a sturdy tripod can significantly enhance image quality. Vibration suppression pads can also be beneficial.

To use this user-friendly adapter, simply remove the eyepiece from your spotting scope and attach the SLR camera adapter in its place. Then, screw in a t-mount adapter to the opposite end of the SLR camera adapter. Now, your camera can be attached to the t-mount, and you're ready to start capturing breathtaking ultra-telephoto images.
