The Vixen Optics A70Lf 2.8"/70mm Refractor Telescope with Porta II Mount is an excellent choice for a first telescope; a light, well-made optical tube combined with a great beginner's mount specially configured to work well for both terrestrial and celestial applications. The A70Lf offers the same quality glass and workmanship that Vixen optics incorporates into their larger instruments. The Vixen Porta II mount is built to support a 20 lb payload and equipped with two fine adjustment handles for whole circle slow-motion in both directions. It is provisioned with a sturdy set of legs that adjust from 35-51". Slow motion flexible handles minimize vibrations to keep the view sharp. The A70Lf with Porta II Mount arrives with a 6x24 finderscope, a pair of 1.25" eyepieces, a diagonal, tube rings and a dovetail plate that mounts directly into the mount.
