Customize Vixen's New Advanced Polaris (AP) Equatorial Mount to your observing needs. Ideally suited for both beginners and experienced observers who want a simple Grab and Go Equatorial Mount. This easy to use, versatile telescope mount is designed with several modules that are joined together to produce the highly portable AP mount. The AP Telescope Mount has slow motion RA and DEC controls for manual control. The Advanced Polaris-M equatorial Mount incorporates the RA Motor module, complete with the STAR BOOK ONE hand controller.

The STAR BOOK ONE controller features variable tracking and slewing speeds as well as backlash compensation and PEC. The hand controller is autoguider ready for great astrophotography. Upgrade further and add the DEC Motor Module(25805). The ED81S II is the SD Glass Scope that travels with you. Vixen's ED Achromatic Refractors feature "Super Low Dispersion Glass" in the objective lens.

The SD Glass in Vixen's ED81S Refractor Telescope suppresses residual chromatic aberration far under the threshold of visibility producing sharp, high contrast images for both the visual observer and the astrophotographer. The ED81S Refractor Telescope features fully multi coated SD Glass to deliver clear and high contrast viewing, virtually free of false color. The combination of better color correction from the new SD glass and brighter images from its fast f/7.7 focal ratio will satisfy the most demanding visual astronomer or astro-photographer. The new ED glass uses newly developed, environmentally friendly glass technology. The optical tube is very stable yet light weight.
