Thai thing works perfectly as intended. The only thing that would make it 5/5 would be a spacer or something to raise the platform a bit. As it is, the adjustment rod tends to be in the way or at least poking you as you look through the binoculars.

I wanted a mount to hold various large military binoculars and this wooden wedge will hold about anything. It takes too much effort to force the rubber strap onto the over sized wooden knob. i feared dumping a binocular while trying to fasten the strap. I added two 24" Velcro cable straps at each end of the wooden base in a method similar to the way the rubber strap was mounted.. (staples and polyurethane glue) The Velcro straps are easy to fasten and hold the binoculars while fighting with the rubber strap. The extra Velcro straps also add stability. This mount will hold a Fujinon 16X70 or a Nikon WX with room to spare. With big $$ equipment I'd suggest my modification. The 1/4-20 threads are nicely coupled to the wooden wedge. A good value as long as you don't dump a piece of equipment.
