Often times the simple solution is the best solution. Capturing the exact light color of an image is essential. Not doing so results in images that are distorted by harsh yellow, blue or other color tints rendering the image essentially useless. Correcting skin tones, for example, in post production can be very daunting and often it is impossible to recreate the correct white balance temperature. This is why I find the WhiBal G7 pocket card such a terribly valuable addition to my work tools. When I go on a shoot I wear the card around my neck with a lanyard. This way, if necessary, I can capture a custom white balance setting for every shot I take. Of course, this is not ordinarily necessary, unless you are shooting a stage production where lighting can vary contantly. The best part of the WhiBal G7 is that it doesn’t cost a lot of money. In fact, I will purchase two at a time in case I lose one in mid-shoot.

This has helped me out a lot. Trying to correct the white balance without this in post was always difficult for me. I bought the Pocket Card size but I think it's too small. I think the Studio size would suit me better. I recommend these WhiBal cards.

Great white balance card for location. Small enough to carry and large enough to easily get a good reading. Extremely neutral with almost zero color shift. Color in the plastic rather than paint.

I've used the card in 3 shoots now, and while the camera's auto setting usually gets the white balance pretty close, this helps me to confidently nail it every time. I tested it by manually setting white balance in camera, and was amazed at how simply this little card corrected everything.

These white balance cards are very handy - especially if you are traveling light! Fit in your shirt pocket or anywhere else for that matter. Follow the instructions and you'll be able to dial in the color balance in post without any issues!

Well made thick plastic with crisp markings for the focusing target, and with holes to conveniently attach a lanyard, etc. Useful for setting a custom white balance when the light color temperature being used is between the preset WB's of the camera.

Helps a lot to have the card with you when shooting pictures and not having to waste time in post production fixing color balance. It is kind of a pricy card.

Card was as described, however the tone I get from using it is a little too warm(yellow) for my taste. If you like warmer tones in your pictures, then this may be for you. Haven't tried to use it to set white or black tones yet.

Too small, thought it was credit card size when I purchased. More like the size of those annoying points reward key chain tags you get from stores. In my hand my fingers are too big

I really like the WhiBal G7 WB Pocket Card. It is a nice size to carry in the field and when I'm back at the computer using Photoshop Elements, it's so easy to use the eyedropper tool on the card's image to correct the color of the picture. I'm glad I paid the extra money to buy this quality card.

No support from WhiBal. White balance setting is hit and miss. May be the G6 is the one to get until there is instruction on how to use the G7.

Indispensable if using the HiTech ProStop filter for long exposures. It makes eliminating color cast as easy as one click. Works so well I should probably use it under other conditions, too.

Compact and perfect for traveling

Great little card to have. Can keep in tour wallet to always have on you.
The WhiBal WB7-PC G7 White Balance Pocket Card is an extremely accurate, convenient gray card that fits in a shirt pocket and can be used in any shooting situation. It can also be used to set neutral White and Black reference areas for setting dynamic range in digital capture using the Black and White Eyedroppers available within Lightroom and other RAW conversion software, Photoshop and most other editing software.
By photographing a gray card reference for each lighting situation, you'll be able to achieve a proper white balance for all of your pictures. The gray card reference picture can be used with software to balance the color casts that various lighting conditions produce with all digital cameras.
