This durable baseplate offers a quick-release feature and provides lightweight 15mm rod support at the correct lens height. Constructed from solid wood, this sturdy baseplate is designed to withstand the rigors of regular use, making it a long-lasting addition to your camera kit. Its compatibility with a variety of cameras from different brands, including Canon and Sony, makes it a versatile tool for different types of shoots and projects.The Unified Baseplate features 15mm rods that pass through from front to back, secured by two locking thumbscrews per side. It offers two quick-release options, allowing the user to either take the 15mm lightweight rods or leave them behind. The baseplate is equipped with an ARCA Swiss standard shape dovetail attached to the bottom of the camera, which can integrate with many third-party products. It also includes threaded 1/4-20 holes on the bottom for attaching to gimbals or tripod plates when necessary. The upper dovetail of the baseplate has a vertical 15mm rod opening, which can be used to support a lens adapter foot directly in front of the camera body. This feature is particularly useful for Sony FS7 users with a Metabones Canon EF adapter. The bottom of the baseplate is comprised of the Lower Quick Dovetail, which has 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes for attaching to a tripod plate or ARRI standard bridgeplate. This feature allows for quick and repeatable camera transitions, making it ideal for professional use. The Unified Baseplate is backwards compatible with original Quick Dovetail (Standard) and Quick Dovetail (DSLR, Large). It can also be attached to the Unified VCT Wedge Plate for VCT-14 compatible mounting options, providing easy counterbalance ability while on the shoulder. Whether you're a professional photographer or a hobbyist, the Unified Baseplate is a valuable addition to your camera kit. Its durability, versatility, and high-quality construction make it a reliable choice for any project.
