Wooden Camera Unified Baseplate for Sony FS5, Panasonic VariCam LT and VariCam 35 Cameras

The baseplate's design allows 15mm rods to pass seamlessly from front to back, secured by two locking thumbscrews on each side. This sturdy and reliable baseplate offers two quick-release options, giving you the flexibility to either take the 15mm lightweight rods with you or leave them behind, depending on your shooting needs.

Removing the camera while leaving the LW 15mm rods behind is a breeze. Simply unlock the right side thumbscrew, slide the camera backwards slightly, and lift straight up. The baseplate features an ARCA Swiss standard shape dovetail attached to the bottom of the camera, which can integrate seamlessly with many third-party products.

For added versatility, the baseplate includes threaded 1/4-20 holes on the bottom, perfect for attaching to gimbals or tripod plates when necessary. On the sides, you'll find additional 1/4-20 holes and the ARRI standard accessory mount (3/8-16 threaded hole with locating pins adjacent).

The upper dovetail of this baseplate also features a vertical 15mm rod opening, which can be used to support a lens adapter foot directly in front of the camera body. This is particularly useful for Sony FS5 users employing a Metabones Canon EF adapter.

The bottom of the baseplate is comprised of the Lower Quick Dovetail, which has 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes for attaching to a tripod plate or ARRI standard bridge plate. To remove the camera and take the 15mm lightweight rods with you, simply unlock the left thumbscrew, slide the baseplate backwards slightly, and lift up.

This action exposes an integrated ARRI dovetail slot on the bottom, which can attach directly to any 2060 Dovetails, Safety Dovetails, or Shoulder Rigs. For VCT-14 compatible mounting options, the Unified Baseplate can be attached to the Unified VCT Wedge Plate, providing easy counterbalance ability while on the shoulder.
