HOWARD S : Can I download a program to this hard drive?, How do I do it?, I tried to download a program to a small external hard drive and it only downloaded it to my C:/ drive.ROBERT M : For most versions of Windows, download routines and program installation procedures generally show the default target as Drive C: and names the directory as well, in a small box. When the target is shown, the procedure should pause, giving you the opportunity to change the default target by simply typing in the desired target in the "box" and pressing enter. If you are using a "MAC" I can't help

Poor instructions, but like the product

Negatives first: the box lists software or cd as part of the contents. NO software included. The instructions show vague pictures without words of explanation. So for the first day, I was VERY frustrated with this product. Positives: After connecting to the internet, the software immediately downloaded and installed. I had a ton of pictures filling up my hard drive. I put all of them on the My Book and freed up lots of space on my laptop. Downside: I don't have internet at home, so I had to go to Mom's to use hers. And again, the instructions did NOT mention the need of internet connection! Overall, I am happy with it.
