Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?Shaneikiya S : I watched a review and it boiled down to the Lucile Rugged or this one. I preferred this one because the convenience of inserting my SD cards between myself and the other photographer. It only falls behind a little due to wifi uploading rather than a Thunderbolt USB-C cable.

A GREAT Tool for My Workflow!

I have been looking for a way to quickly back up SD cards while out shooting. This has already paid for itself! I somehow missed an image of a bathroom (I shoot Real Estate Photography) after I deleted the RAW files. But because I backed up the SD card from my shoot, I was able to quickly find the missing image. I now use this as part of my back up/workflow: I immediately back up my SD card as soon as I get back to my car. It’s a life saver!

Disappointed

I bought this thinking that all of my devices could use it as a central storage. I ran into connection problems and i work in IT. It connected using the usb fine.. When using wireless you couldn't access the folders that you set up using the usb. Not being able to access the folders wirelessly was and remains a big dissatisfaction.

Legacy of drive failures

Had the first 1/2TB drive. Soon after purchase wouldn't copy from SD card. Warranty replacement was a 1TB drive. After a few months same problem. Warranty replacement was a 2TB drive. After the warranty expired, same problem. But they wouldn't replace it this time. Now it's expensive electronic recycling waste.

Not impressed

Every time I try to access the drive, it loads through the app but when I try to view my photos. I get a pop up that the drive isn't accessible. It's very slow loading the photo on my iPad. Not impressed with this drive. I think I just wasted my money.

Great product

The My Passport was smaller than expected but delivered in a big way. Lots of storage for the dollar and bonus having ability to view JPG's and video via the app. Raw not viewable yet so I just shoot in RAW+JPG and can view images easily.

WiFi Communication problem at worst possible time

I bought this as a memory card backup device for a trip to the Galapagos. It worked fine at home. But when I got to Ecuador, the Wireless Pro stopped any detectable wireless communication. I tried backing up my SD cards, but could not see if they had been copied to the hard drive. Nor could I review any photos using my Ipad screen. A recent firmware update (after I got home) appears to have fixed the communication glitch. Also note that this doesn't support any RAW formats. That info is buried in the far back pages of the users manual
