Not a acutal 2x3 Softbox
I am very disappointed that this is not a actual 2x3 softbox The dimensions do not add up for this to be a true 2x3 softbox. The width is 24.5 inches wide. A half inch wider than the 24 inches, and the length is 32.5 inches long instead of being 36 inches long. That's 3.5 inches shorter than the 36 inches it should be. That is very disappointing to me. That is the only thing I do not like about this softbox. Other than that it is everything you want from a Westcott Rapid box. It's very well made, it performs very well, and the light coming out of it from my Flashpoint Explor 600 strobe is very beautiful.

5 Stars If It Didn’t Fall Apart
Every picture is evenly lit, double diffused is amazing indoors and out, no problems with odd shaped catchlight. Material feels durable enough to the touch but I wish the smaller inner diffusing wasn’t made with snaps as it feels like it’s going to rip when I’m unsnapping them. They should have been made with Velcro just like the outter diffusing or at least made the snaps with longer unsnapping hooks for better grip. Even with me being picky about the snaps I still would have given this 5 stars but I only got about 10 hours worth of shooting out of it before the aluminum or whatever thin metal it’s made of around the metal connecting ring detached while the umbrella was connected to the light. It wasn’t windy or awkwardly angled, just gave out without notice during a shoot. There is no proper way to fix the ring back onto the base as 1 its bent from dropping to the ground having been made so thinly and 2 the fold securing the ring to the base is on the inside, likely manufactured using a machine. I did a lot of research before buying this and treat it with respect during use and transport so I’m a little disappointed when I spent the extra money on a Wescott. Hoping I can fix and reinforce it somehow and that I just got a dud.

Great quality, setup is thoughtful, looks wonderful
These are my new favorite for acting headshots. Two layers of diffusion, solid construction, and the second layer can be recessed a bit for decent flagging. I picked up the grid as well, and it is fantastic quality with easy setup and no fuss with the diffusion. Got the Bowens insert and am using the little Phottix speedlite grabber, and this makes for a very nice setup. Hope this helps.

Well-Built and Easy to Use
Initially saw the Westcott Rapid Box Octabox in use during a photo coaching session. I purchased the medium model due to low ceilings where I do a number of my shoots.The octabox frame is sturdy and well-made. Instead of an umbrella-style shaft lock device, the Westcott Rapid Box uses a magnet to hold the box in the open position. The diffusers were easy to install, and can be folded up when the Box is collapsed.Probably my favorite feature is the zipper in the side body of the Octabox - it allows easy access when opening the umbrella and when attaching the Box to the strobe mount.Overall, a great product, and I plan on purchasing other sizes of the Rapid Box in the near future.

High quality, easy setup
The Rapid Box Switch Octa-L is truly easy to set up. I like that there are two layers of diffusion. They seem to me to be high quality diffusion layers too. I think it is slightly deeper than it appears in the product shot.
