My Godox AD600Pro will not hold this without a 10 lbs sandbag. Very hard to put it together and I'm big and tall. I guess you can assemble the first time and leave in in the studio(never travel with it?). Great light quality come out of it, however

This softbox provides the quality of light that you are looking for in a portrait and it portable enough to go on location with minimal assistance.

Durable and excellent light quality. My only gripe is that it’s enermous - which sure, may be obvious, but you might not realize just how big it actually is. 4.5x6’ is expected, but the depth is dramatic - it’s at least 3.5’ from mount to diffusion. It’s like moving around a very clunky box. Just something to keep in mind if you’re working in even remotely tight spaces - our studio is 2000sq ft and it feels like this thing eats up a whole corner of the room. They do have almost this same softbox that they especially designed to be more shallow. Kind of wishing we had gone that route! Other than that, if you have a big enough space for it, hard to complain.

I would definitely recommend this product. It is incredibly versatile and works great with my Einstein strobe.

I am using this box on a Westcott TD6. It is great value for the money. The construction is solid, and is easy to assemble. However, there is an issue that one should beware. I am using 55K photo lights, and the silver inside reflective coating does NOT change the color. The inner diffuser panel does NOT change the color of the light. All this is very good. However, when one attaches the outer diffuser panel the light is given a definite yellow cast. One can test this by mounting the box, turn the lights on and just cover the lower half of the box with the out diffuser. You will immediately see the color difference between the two halves.

Wescott has taken great ideas, perfected by the more expensive Chimera, and cheapened them to the point that they aren't very useful. I unpacked this item, inspected it and repackaged it immediately. I can't see this item lasting for more than 6 months under normal use. The materials seem durable, but the design and manufacturing seem substandard. I would buy Chimera or Photoflex as a second choice.

I used two of these soft boxes with a Westcott Spiderlite kit. (The kit itself was returned due to poor Spiderlite manufacturing quality.) I kept these soft boxes for use with future lighting equipment.
