Overall I'm moderately pleased with the X-Drop system. There is a big gap between the base and the floor, so not ideal for full length portraits or babies / toddlers unless you hang the unit lower than it's meant to be. My biggest problem with this particular backdrop though, the Eminence, is that in all the promotional images I found online it is clearly neutral dark grey in color. This is NOT the case in real life. The product has a very strong purple tinge to it and some very unsightly blueish blotches. In one area I get an RGB reading of 93/98/117 with a luminance of 99. Not neutral grey at all. The other issue is the pattern. In the center, from top to bottom, the pattern is as shown on the Westcott site. But the edges are very blurred out and the pattern loses complete detail in some spots. Besides its flaws, the material seems like it is durable and the finish on the edges and eyelets seems adequate. Not sure I'd buy another though as the color and pattern issues are enough to put me off.

The Westcott 5 x 7' eminence x-Drop Background is a lightweight and wrinkle-resistant 100% polyester backdrop that can be used for headshots, product photography, weddings or general commercial photography.
It comes with grommet holes on the top and bottom for easy hanging and that also eliminates the need to establish a top or bottom orientation. When it gets dirty, it's readily machine washable in cold water and tumble dried on "low". Ostensibly, it's designed to work in conjunction with the Westcott x-Drop Background System but will work on any suitable background support system.
