I'm so glad I bought this light! I use it with my Westcott 5' Octabank for my studio portraits of babies and newborns. It's plenty bright without the soft box, but with it, it's definitely not as bright as my spider lite. Since I keep it very close to my subjects, it's not a big issue for me, though.

Bought with intention of taking on location. Battery not included. Additional $. Bulky unit, front diffuser shifts color 300 Kelvin. Output with box not good. Do not recommend.

Bought this due to small size to take on location for interviews. First, had to blow another 300 for a battery that hangs from a stand and makes noise every time I move the light. Second, the fan on my one light is on constantly and the second one not at all and I have a feeling one may be broke already. Cheap barn doors, shell is all plastic and rotating adapter ring is bulky and hard to use. My Chimera doesn't fit. Way overpriced. Not typical Westcott quality and just weird design. Maybe ok for a photographer but don't recommend for video or on-location work.
