I love Westone. I have many products of theirs and these are a great addition. I am a drummer for 25 years and got these to use as a recording rig set up. I have used them about 5 times so far and they sound amazing. Great response all around. I am very happy with these.

I had some Shure 215s. They were good, really about all I wanted to spend on IEMs. Rarely used them though. trying to figure out how to insert them and to get them inserted was just a pain. In all honesty, they were similar to these but for some reason these insert a heck of a lot better and are easier to figure out. I guess because they are clearly marked L and R. (I know, a simple fix on the Shure's but just never used them enough to bother) I play drums for our church and as such am really the only member of the band that can wear actual over the ear headsets and get away with it. But I'd been considering going with IEMs and had been talking to some of the other band members about recommendations. No one mentioned Westone. I saw these on sale for 350 with normal MSRP at 1500. That caught my eye, and the big seller, 16 freakin drivers????????????? WHAT???????? (8 in each ear) I know the key to good IEMs is the number of drivers. So I figured for the price, with no recommendations but a lot of positive online reviews, and hey 16 drivers for that price what the heck. I got them, figuring out insertion as mentioned previous, much easier than the Shure's. I used the standard flange tip that was already on the IEMs. the worked good but still seemed I wasn't getting the most out of these. I tried the smaller ones, didn't get around to the bigger ones yet and didn't mess with the foam as that is what I had on my Shure 215s and I think that was another source of frustration with the 215s, squishing the foam and getting them inserted and situated before the expanded was just such a pain. These come with quite a few different inserts, both foam and flanged. I'd been seeing people talking about using triple flanged inserts. I did a quick search on the internet and found ones made to fit the Westones, 7 and a half bucks for 6 pair and FREE shipping. How they can sell for that and make a profit is beyond me but I'll let them worry about that. Anyway I got them in today, installed on these IEMs and HOLY COW. Insertion was the easiest I've ever dealt with and the sealed perfectly. with all the others I always felt I was having to readjust and readjust to get and keep a good seal. I just got done jamming on my electronic kit with these and I am SO GLAD I got these and the triple flanged inserts. That is where the big improvement came. Don't get me wrong. these IEMs are most certainly I think some of the best out there, but if you don't get a proper seal, forget it, it doesn't matter what brand you get, without that seal, you are not utilizing the full potential of any IEMs that are out there.

I purchased these to replace my westone w40 items when the left earbud died after seven years. The highs were great but the lows on the w80-v3 were sorely lacking. As it looked like the box I received had been opened (which was NOT expected), I do not know if they were defective, damaged or if they were functioning properly but I was, sadly, very disappointed in their performance. I loved the sound of the W40 and thought this would be an improvement. I returned the iems and am again looking for a replacement.

The first thing I want to say is that the detail of the sound is very good. A new product, MACH, has appeared, but it is still valuable because of its different tone. Unlike traditional Westone products, low notes are not emphasized, and high notes are not emphasized like MACH. The W80 has a relatively high vocal range. It's very comfortable to wear. This was always the case with all of Weston's It's a shame that there's no cable in the previous version, but if you don't put much importance on the cable, there won't be much difference

Insane value. Intimate vocal with a superb resolution in all frequency ranges. There are better options at the original price, but with the discount this is unbeatable in the price range. Blessing 2? Timeless? N5505? No... And these are the most comfortable IEMs I ever had.

Ergonomics is very good just like any other Westone IEMs. Sound signature is balanced with added warmth in the low mids and slightly pulled back upper mids as in most Westones. The bass is very tight and articulate, although not boosted. Less bassy than W60. The mid range is more forward and articulate than W60, but still sounds very natural, organic and fatigue free. The treble is the biggest improvement over the W60. It has better good definition, extension and air, yet sounds very smooth and inoffensive. People who likes forward upper mids range like in the Shure IEMs or Etimotics may not like these. Also, if you are a fan of Harman target, these may not be for you. I was initially hesitant to buy these based on the frequency response graph, which does not look particularly good based on traditional standards. But man am I surprised on how these actually sounds subjectively. In the end, what matters only is your own experience.

It?s just exactly like the comments on line , I get my first hifi earphone in my life, happy and excited, now I use it for my iPhone 13, I know it?s not a match, but still way better than my AirPods Pro, especially the classic music. Earphone itself is good and worth the money. But several things need to notice. 1, need spinfit tips 2, the Bluetooth cable doesn?t compact with earphone due to the low impedance; 3, continue the second point, the low impedance requires an amplifier with low impedance (should close to 0).
